Re: Residence Registration No Healthcare

PP :- After seeing Free at Last's post, I've checked our own policy carefully and asked friends who I knew to have PH cover here in Spain, with different insurers. None of them have the restrictions you describe as the norm on their policies.

Re: Residence Registration No Healthcare

Hi PP - was surprised to see your comment about maximum payouts on PHI.

Ours has limit of 10.000 euro per person for treatment outside of Spanish territory, but no limits within Spain - is that unusual ?

Sliding patio Doors

Can anyone tell me please what the correct Spanish word is (or words are !), for the roller insert mechanisms which are attached under the bottom of a sliding patio door panel ?

Re: Law re Water Quality in pools

There are a host of regulations concerning communal pools, including water quality, introduced by the Junta de A in 1999. The original can be found on the website below, though I think there have been some revisions since its origin, but how you can check for updates I am not sure. https://www.mijas...

Re: Travel Insurance

http://www.staysure.co.uk They will provide cover for non uk residents. We used them last December for a trip to New York, and cannot sing their praises loudly enough. My wife was tripped up ( accidently ) in Times Square and broke her nose in the fall. Staysure's response was fantastic, one phone c...

Re: non payment of community charges.

Ukhozi, in the example you quoted I assume the bank repossessed the property, in which case they would have been liable to the Community for the current year to date fees, plus full annual fees for the prior three years. That would not clear the full six years debt but would be better than a slap in...

Beachy, is that as opposed to " the execrably dysfunctional and corrupt organisation currently known as " the UK Tory and/or Labour party ?

Re: Breaking down on the motorway

When you phone them, they send you an SMS to which you reply authorising them to locate you. They do that and pass the info to a grua - in my case I I also received two SMSs from the grua saying firstly he was on his way, and then one to say he would be with us in 3 minutes.

Re: Primera air?

The Primera flight to Malaga yesterday "taxied" into the stationary Ryanair flight awaiting take off for Dublin !!

Maybe, Wicksey, they were not pleased with your comparison of their fleet to Ryanair's - so it's all your fault then.

Re: Ryanair Flights & Entering Passport Information

Wollie, I think you're wrong about boarding passes bearing the passenger's passport number. I'm looking now at 4 passes, 2 Ryanair and 2 EasyJet, recently printed for next week for my wife and I, and none of them have our passport numbers on - even though each airline obviously have those numbers or...

The regs must have changed in recent years then PP. I had my last car tested 2 years ago, in the month before it was actually due to be tested, and I was given a window sticker just as normal.

Cheap and cheerful, Ibis Malaga Centro. More expensive, AC Marriot Malaga Palacio. Both only a few minutes walk from Calle Larios.

I use the "Amazon Locker" delivery method, as there's a set of lockers at a petrol station just a few km away from us. It works perfectly for us, delivery is fast, and the system is secure. If they have a locker within reasonable distance from you (locations are on the website) I would rec...

Granite worktop filler

Does anyone know if what I am looking for exists, and if so what it is called.

I am butting together at right angles, pieces of granite kitchen worktop, and would like to put some sort of filler/mastic in the joint which would set to ensure a perfect seal.

Any ideas welcome.
