Championship Play off Final on TV

The start of half term week and flight costs have made my trip to Wembley a non starter! Does anyone know of a bar or restaurant that may be able to show the Championship play off final between The Superwhites and Aston Villa on the 26th May? It is on Sky. I am near Pizarra. I realise the Champions ...

Re: Pitch up a tent

I "wild" camp during 3 to 5 day hikes in the campo and have never had a problem, not even on the edge of towns or villages. In fact, people have been very helpful if somewhat bemused. What's the worst that can happen? You may be asked to move on, so....move on.

Re: Walking Group in Coin, Cartama area

Hi, since last post, if anyone is interested. There are two groups in Fuengirola, The Field Group being one of them. There are also walks every Sat and Sun from Mijas Pueblo arranged by the Tourist office. And its also worth checking out Descubre Guias De Sur who have regular organised walks in Mala...

Timber Treatment

Hi, Can anyone suggest a local company (I am near Pizarra) that carries out timber treatment on existing structures. I have just found evidence of ''beetle'' in my roof timbers. Any help much appreciated.

Pool Renovation

We had a liner pool. Basically a plastic sheet. We emptied the pool a few years ago as we simply weren't getting out here enough and it was a waste of money to maintain and run it. Now we are retiring and hope to renovate and reinstate said pool. However, I thought I would check with a Gestor to see...

Walking Group in Coin, Cartama area

While driving between Villa Franco and Coin this week I saw a walking group. Is there a group in this area? P.S Won't need to use that road again, new road is open!! Only been 9 years in the making.

Re: Pool Renovation

Has anyone heard about the Aligator Ionisation system. We have family members with skin problems and are looking for an alternative system to heavy chemicals. I have read their blurb but is anyone actually using this system?

Re: Pool Renovation

Thanks Beachcomber. As you say, you get what you pay for and I would rather not skimp as long as it is a good job. I havn't read any negative stuff on the salt water system and am interested why you would be against it. CJ.

Internet

Hi, Have just finished reading the post "Internet needed in Pilarejos" with interest. We are finally moving out to Spain this year after 10 years infrequently visiting our house near Pizarra. There are many adverts for Internet providers and we are a tad confused who to approach. A landlin...

Pool Renovation

Hi, After 10 years infrequently visiting our house in Spain we are finally moving out for a while. We let the pool go as we were rarely there and now we need to reclaim it from the frogs, toads. It was a liner pool but the liner has now gone and we are basically left with a hole in the ground. We wo...
