Re: One for the Ladies !

We use liquid detergent, mostly Ropa Blanca,(Mercadona) ideal for cold/cool water. When necessary for whites/stains, I'll add some Vanish powder. It's trial and error to find what suits, and of course your budget dictates to a degree.

Re: stifling hot!

We have it this hot every July & August but this year we've had temps of 40+ through most of June as well. There was one morning when it was well over 30 at 9 am. and our patio out back does not get the sun til about 1pm. This morning at about 8 it was a mere 25, delicously cool, but temperature...

Re: tv programme woman with 6 kids moving to spain?

That's as much as I can remember. It must have been at least 3 or 4 years ago. Sorry I can't help more.

Re: tv programme woman with 6 kids moving to spain?

Not 100 pc sure but wasn't it A Place In The Sun? Certainly one of those type of programmes. If it's the one I think it is, she went on to buy another "ruin" , maybe another 2,to do up to sell. She seemed to do well and, as you say, she had the "get up and go". I too would like t...

Re: How to add a Read Receipt?

Not 100% sure on this, but I don't think you can add read receipt to web-based mail such as hotmail or yahoo. Even if you could, as is possible with, say, outlook express, there is no guarantee as the recipient could elect to "never send a read-receipt". Could it be that your emails are au...

Like many other people here, I've picked up a lot of useful info on this site, and this is one of those gems. We have only ever used debit or the normal credit cards, but my partner does a lot of travelling, mainly through Spain, France and the UK. I will have a look at this. I would certainly be pl...

Well, retro p, I'm sorry you feel like that. Alcaudete is a small town, and it would be very easy to check with the church. Even the Guardia Civil is aware of her situation as she took out a denuncia on her husband. What on earth has she, or me for that matter, have to gain by this. She was only ask...

Actually, she will receive no help. She has been told this. As long as she has a house here, if she goes back to UK, she will be classed as "having made herself homeless" and will therefore be entitled to nothing. Her mortgage and bills are not being paid. I don't really want to say much m...

As I said before, I know this lady. I have seen the situation unfold around her over the months. It is difficult for me to say too much as it is not my story to tell, but she has given a much condensed version of events. Many of you would not believe half of what has happened to her, or the kind of ...

bear in mnd also that "size matters" when it comes to the dish :) You don't want it too small, , depending on what you want of-course :D

Also check, if you get a company to do it, that they do recalls free of charge....for realignments etc.

We rented n Iznajar for a couple of months before we bought this house, and met the 2 guys you mention. The programme was filmed in 2006 I think. A really nice couple but I do believe the bar is closed now and they are no longer there.

Cassandra - I grew up in Ayrshire, my mother, daughter and grand-daughters are there, and my sister and family have just moved back after 3 years in France (they're renting until the sale of their French property goes through, and ended up in a house they owned about 15 years ago :) )
