I don't think thats right, just because tax yr is from Jan does not mean you have to pay tax from then, it's surely from when you start living in Spain, I'm sure El Cid will confirm who is correct.

Ensure any lump sum from your pension is taken before moving to spain as they will tax it.

Tax question

My wife had income of 11,000 euros last year from her drawdown pension, she was 62 and a resident, this income was submitted to the Agencia Tributaria and was deemed to not require paying any taxes is this correct as her allowance is only 5550 ???

Yes I did that test but nothing came up, maybe I didn't put enough soap in, I do think though I over ferertilized as it pretty uniform.

Just to resurrect this thread is the above quote the same if you reinvest back your main residence from Spain into buying your main residence in UK.

Can you post a photo of your grass, what has happened to it?, I'm getting a lot of worms in my pool and may have the same problem, my grass has gone brown but I thought I had over fertilized it.

If we sell our Villa then our plus valia will be about 16,000 euros, the land that we bought and built on is still being sold for around the same price or actually lower, this is the biggest Spanish rip off, unbelievable, this is for 15yrs ownership.

So when selling here our home(main residence) and reinvesting in UK main home how do you work out if any what capital gains if your property your buying in UK is less than the selling amount in Spain, I'm talking about the main home exemption now.

Ah thanks you so much Beach, I'm over 65 so I think its only my wife part as its jointly owned, I did see somewhere about having to live in it for 3 yrs but can't find it now.

How do you calculate capital gains tax on new build sale.

We bought the land and built our house completed back in 2006, but for capital gains tax purposes how do we calculate the first part if we sell, do we just add the cost of the land to the cost it took us to build Including all costs and taxes or is the build calculated on a valuation of the property...
