Re: Pay as you go

I think most of the big phone companies have a PAYG phone option - we are with Orange on that tariff. There are no restrictions to phoning or texting abroad but the charges are high which is why we don't use it! (Now that Virgin UK have upped their call and text charges and have a fair policy usage,...

Re: Gibraltar

but for shopping its very poor.makes me wonder where the locals go Whenever I've been I think they are all in Morrisons  It's been packed with people, and not just coach parties as we've tended to call in just before we leave so it's later in the day. The first time I went I was surprised as...

Re: Health screening on Spanish NHS

Mine was in July and I still haven't heard! I have known friends get their letters after 5 months but 7 months is something else. Hopefully, if they had sent me a letter it wasn't lost and wasn't something more urgent!

Re: Gibraltar

We used to stay at the Caleta Bay Hotel as they used to have very good deals and it is away from the bustle of the main town. To get to that side of the rock you need to take a left at one of the first roundabouts after you've crossed the runway then it takes to to that eastern side. Have a look at ...

Re: ?how long before letting a kitten outside?

We've used a harness and lead in the past. We've let them have a good sniff all around the main boundary close to the house so they get to know where they are and where they need to get back to. We haven't lost a cat yet!

Re: Gibraltar

I have been quite a few times and got married in The Alameda Gardens, beautiful gardens. I like a wandering the back streets. We very first went there when we were in Tangier on holiday in 1985 and flew 20 mins in an old prop plane over to Gib for the day. My OH proposed to me in the garden of the ...

Re: Vuelta a Andalucía 2018

We were practically the only ones on the stretch of road at the end of the feeding area and were really chuffed to get a Sky food bag thrown to us (we're easily pleased :) ). We did have a big sign for Chris Froome so maybe he saw it as they were much more spread out at this point and not whizzing a...

Just got an email to say they've received my old passport, rather than having to track it myself so that's good.

Re: Yeso and capa Fina

If it's blown in parts then you may have some damp coming through which may need attention first. Have you used capa fina before? We had it in our kitchen after replastering as it's already white and was meant to save us painting straight away. It has quite a gritty finish and sheds everywhere when ...

Re: Recommend me a replacement for Buffered

I managed to set up the DNS in my router by following their instructions so it means I can watch BBC etc on my Smart TV or or laptop via wifi, or my PC which is by cable from the router without any problems. I am very pleased with the service they give for a one off modest fee.

Re: Postal method for passport

Also the delivery process was excellent they use DHL and they were first class, it there is a problem they ring you on your mobile. You have an address though .... they won't deliver to a POBox which is all I have so I do hope they are sensible enough to contact me or offer a drop off point. (As me...

They fitted our woodburner and a new flue and also made a replacement grid that sits in the bottom of the fire when it broke. We have found them very efficient.

Re: Right of Access

Agree entirely. Our current house didn't own its access, again just a short stretch but without it we couldn't get into the property. We met with the neighbour before we signed anything and he agreed to sell it to us. In fact due to more complicated reasons we ended up moving the boundaries of the l...

Re: Postal method for passport

I sent it by certificado so will see how long it takes to get there. I presume they'll keep me informed. It seems a better system than it used to be by post so far. On the subject of receiving parcels via courier I am just in the middle of trying to get something via Nacex who have an office in Vele...
