Re: Ryanair Flights & Entering Passport Information

You don't need API for internal flights but do for travelling back to the UK. I have just flown Spain to Uk with Ryanair and there was a separate queue for priority passengers. I suppose it doesn't matter too much now as if you have priority then you get to take your case on board and it doesn't mat...

Re: Agricultural water again

We have greenhouses near us that need water daily throughout the winter and our system is on all year, although not every day. In previous dry winters we have needed to irrigate our garden throughout the winter months (although we recycle our pool water onto the garden then refill in May/June time f...

I should think it's the same in many countries, it certainly is in the UK. You can own a piece of land but that doesn't give you the right to build on it.

Re: Gas to Electricity Conversion

Make sure you have sufficient potencia coming in to cover the extra electricity usage. I think an electric hob can use a lot of kws. Depends on how much hot water you tend to use and how many in the house. There's only 2 of us and we have a 150L electric tank (1500kw) which we have on a timer, curre...

The tubes of cat malt smell like marmite. One of our cats loves it but the other two run off if I try them with it.

No problems here with our 80cm dish even in the storms and is all working fine although we only have a single LNB. Hopefully you'll solve your problem when you fit your new one.

Re: Thinking of buying in Andalucia...

I'm not trying to be negative as having a holiday home here is a good idea and would be handy for all the family to use but be aware that the winters here can be cold and wet too and you'll need some form of heating as most Spanish properties do not have insulation. This spring has been particularly...

Re: Home Bread Making

I'm on my second bread maker and this one came from Lidl. Seems to be working OK up to now and I like the option to make some more specialist breads when I feel the need, especially the sweet fruited ones. I also use it like Sid does for making dough as I cannot kneed at all, and it does make a very...

Re: Bird migration this year

We rarely see the Golden Oriole but do usually hear it, although not yet this year. I've hardly seen the bee eaters either but the numbers of blackbirds have increased .... something we never used to get here. It sounds like an English summer when they are singing away. With 3 cats that like to catc...

Re: SmartDNS question

Just checked and it's OK now. The SmartDNSProxy is just set up in my router now and so that serves my laptop, phones and Smart TV via wifi, and has a ethernet cable connection to my PC. It was just odd how CH4 wouldn't work on the TV but did on my laptop, unless there was some sort of glitch with my...

Re: SmartDNS question

I didn't put any settings into the TV, it just picks up the wifi signal as usual. I haven't tried it yet today.

SmartDNS question

Strange things are occurring tonight. BBC and ITV are working fine on my Smart TV but CH4 is not with the message 'This programme is not available in your current location'. CH4 catchup does work OK on my laptop though .... cannot understand why that is?

Re: Removing SmartyDNS from laptop

Thanks Enrique. Are you saying to do the CMD box after changing my IPv4 settings?

I tried to use the SmartyVPN when the BBC wasn't working but it said there was an error and wouldn't connect.

Re: Home Bread Making

Yes Gordon we have discovered a new range in Lidl and I must say I haven't baked my bread so regularly over the past few weeks! Lidl do a nice corn bread and a seeded loaf at a good price too although I feel my own bread is more natural with no preservatives or additives. I have just made some black...

Removing SmartyDNS from laptop

When I subscribed to SmartyDNS I set it up on my laptop in addition to my router so that I could use it if I was away from home. Now that they cannot connect to the BBC I have given up with them and subscribe to SmartDNSproxy. That is set up on my router and works fine on my PC and TV. However, the ...

Went down to 8 degrees here and the heating was back on last night. It was particularly cold during the hail storm we had yesterday afternoon. Lovely bright sunny day today and lovely to see the clear horizon again after all that dusty haze and muddy rain we had the week before. The wind is chilly t...
