Professional Organisations in Spain

A couple of apartments in our block are suffering from water ingress when there is heavy rain. All the efforts by the local builder engaged by our Administrator have failed to solve the problem. Does anyone know of any professional organisations in Spain that would have experts who would be able to ...

Question about unpaid Community Fees

I know that if an owner has not paid their Community Fees that although they can attend meetings they cannot vote.

Is it possible for them to hold an office such as Vice President if they have not paid?

Re: Changing ISP?

Many Thanks Manchesteral We have several networks connected to our building including Movistar and Orange. We have had a similar experience with Movistar but they keep increasing the price (twice in the past 10 months!). What I am interested in is the process of changing between one and the other. S...

Changing ISP?

I am approaching the end of my 12months with Movistar and I'm thinking about changing to Orange. I have a fibre optic line with telephone although I never use the phone. I know that I can go into the Orange shop and arrange a new contract with them but does this automatically cancel the contract wit...

Because his wife has had a stroke recently it is not possible for her to return to Spain. Can anyone advise me what my friend needs to do to get a power of attorney for his wife ...

Re: Impact of new Data Protection rules on Community of Owners

Thanks Maureen

Our Administrator is a lawyer so hopefully he will know but so far I haven't heard anything from him (I'm not in Spain at the moment).

Does anyone have any knowledge about the impact that the new Data Protection rules have on a Community of Owners?

Any advice or guidance would be much appreciated.

How long to organise a medical repatriation?

My friend had a stroke a fortnight ago. It took the Insurance company 10 days to come to a decision. We are now waiting for a medical repatriation to the UK by air ambulance. Can anyone tell me how long this should take? The Spanish hospital have said that it is okay for my friend to travel. Many Th...

Re: Community Internet via the TV

Hi Miro

Was this system ever installed and how did it perform? I'm interested as a similar system is under consideration for our block but based on a 300Mb/s fibre optic line.

Communal Internet - 300Mb/s Fibre Optic

Has anyone any experience of installing a communal internet service for an apartment block based on a 300Mb/s fibre optic line? If so I would be interested in hearing your experiences and about how the service is managed, what it cost to set up and how it is paid for on an ongoing basis. I have an a...

Re: Comments and queries re FAQ for Non-resident income tax

I'm with Cajamar bank and the ATM at their branch here in Torrox Costa has the facility of paying the Non-residents Tax (as well as others I presume) using a "cardless" transaction. You key in your NIE number, anagrama, fiscal year, period and name and the amount you are paying, put in you...

Re: Entitlement to claim back 3% Tax Withheld

Once you have attempted the calculations, if you would like me to double check let me have the result plus the actualised sale and purchase prices and dates of both (by PM if you wish) and I will also do the calculation and see if we reach the same result. Just the figures and dates will suffice, n...

Re: Entitlement to claim back 3% Tax Withheld

Thanks Beachcomber

We'll have to let what you have said sink in. It's obviously not just as simple as I have stated.

As far as I know there has been no escritura of inheritance or obra nueva.

We really appreciate your help.

Many Thanks

Re: Entitlement to claim back 3% Tax Withheld

Hi Beachcomber I've had a look through those documents and the 210 form. There is a lot of information to be digested. Since he would be entitled to 100% reduction would I be right in thinking that as well as filling in all the other basic fields that he would put:- 1. the sale price in box 9 2. the...
