Re: Anyone else prevented from voting?

Another shot in the arm for this thread. We moved our apadriamento along with our house move from one village to another in January last year. We made clear to the ayuntamiento that we wanted our votes moved as well. Along comes the vote yesterday so we trudge off to the voting centre. My name is th...

Re: HiFi & electronics supplier

There is also http://www.lyricaudio.com/entrada.htm, I have no experience with them but they seem to stock some nice kit.

They are actually a distributor, so hit the link to their dealers (Distribuidores) and you'll find quite a few.

Re: Wine from Axarquia

Never seen that one around, I like the Ariyanas wines from the Bentomiz Bodega in Sayalonga. They do tasting visits for groups.
Bodegas Bentomiz

Are there any outlets for the former in the Canillas/Competa areas? Not keen on Jarel.

Ah .. the 'Magic Roundabout' at Milton Keynes .... I know it well ! The one in the picture is the Swindon one as ft said, officially called the Magic Roundabout. There is also the Hemel hempstead one called The Plough. I didn't realise the MK (A421) one was even finished, haven't been there in aaaa...

Re: ENDESA - HELP!

Do you have a printed copy of the report you made from their office? If you do the ball is well and truly in their court as far as the faulty meter is concerned. If not, demand one next you chase up. The request for increased potencia should have also produced a printed copy to you. If not it most l...

Yes, without pictures...

If the prints were well formed and lacked claw marks then the animal could be of the cat family, with claws could be the dog family.

Re: Breakdown cover

X3 as to elusive & gerryh comments. I just recently had to use mine, with Verti. Quite faultless, a grua and taxi were sent and quoted to reach me in 45 minutes, they actually arrived in a snadge over 20 minutes! As it was a Sunday, my car was stored in safe lot over night and taken to my nomina...

Re: Telefonica Charge

Typical Telefonica(Movistar) I'm afraid. Does anyone check your mail for you, in case anything has been initiated? If you feel there is no cause for the charge you can request your bank to draw it back within, AFAIR, 28 days of the payment leaving. You are then at your leisure to speak to them on yo...

Thanks for the answers.
I'll take that as a thumbs up for Classicshell or other Win7 emulators.

Classic Shell for Win8.1

I have been asked to install Classic Shell on an elderly relatives new laptop (Win8.1) as he finds W8.1 much too different. Person in question only uses basic functions, email, word, excel, photo handling, printing and only minimal surfing. Mainly familiar with XP but has been using Win7 more recent...

Re: Camera options.

I went a slightly different route. I have a decent but now somewhat old compact, a Panasonic TX3, good zoom and wide angle, the newer versions a little more powerful but still no viewfinder. I use this for casual to goodish photography that the phone can't handle. I also purchased an immaculate Pana...

Similar here too!
In my case just cleaning the jet and the electrode did the trick.

How do you resist licking them after they're barbecued? :P

Ahhhh OK, thanks for that. I agree with your comments but thought LOI went downhill in its old location too.

Lyric,

Do you know who the chef(s) is/are? i.e. from the Light Of India or different?

Just a curious curry scoffer

Re: Tape to PC

Hi DA, Like a lot of these things the programme has to be told what to do. I was going to write instructions but seeing as I was on youtube at the time I had an "I wonder if..." moment. Oh yes, full instructions with video is available! BTW you can bypass your DAC completely if using this ...

Re: Tape to PC

Out of interest, how exactly are you doing your vinyl to digital? What kit did you buy? Thanks again I have an old USB interface linked in the main HiFi M-Audio interface which then feeds my old laptop. It came with its own programme for handling the actual recording. I also have a huge collection ...

Re: Tape to PC

Yep, JRiver is a very capable media player but is not a recorder/dubber/editor. Another popular one is Foobar2000 but that is audio only. As I've already bought an USB digital interface for digitising LPs I use that for cassettes too. I also agree that Audacity is a very good free programme for achi...

Unfortunately not the correct number, it was for a restaurant in Nerja.

I did, however, eventually obtain the number off a friend. 952525337
