there will be plenty of locksmiths in your yellow pages but they are not cheap. I closed the door with the key in the other side and the locksmith charged €120 to open the door. it took him under 30 seconds because the door was not deadlocked. He said the price would be the same if it was deadlocked...

Spanish, i hope your not thinking of using the dead vans ID for your van, alot less work to swap the plates rather than the enginge etc. The spanish are hotting up on this type of activity.

I am driving from Girona on monday at about 6pm down to malaga, anyone know of a hotel thats near the motorway somewhere south of barcelona. novatel or ibis would do.

From the bus station head for the correos buildind (main post office) opposite el corte inglais. The train station is behind that, head down the stairs and get on a train for 1 stop. That is the new terminal with all the new facilities.

The new terminal is one stop back from from city centre. quite along walk, i would recommend going 1stop back on the train, you come out of station into new terminal. coming in from airport it is 1 stop from the end of the line

Santander to Malaga is about 10 hours, tolls not much on that route. You could have a nightmare in the bay of biscay tho

Tolls are about £100 if you do the long drive. about 12 hours in france and the same in spain. I have done calais to malaga in a day before but it took me a week to get over the trip. i would reccomend france 1 day and Spain the next. If you have belongings in the car be very carefull where you park.

if you get the chance the lights are a must see. on saturday alot of the shops did not close for siesta. the new renfre terminal shops are allowed to stay open 365 days a year.

all the shops are within walking distance of the bus station. el corte ingles is the furthest walk but still only 5 minutes or 10 if you stop in the bodega for a sherry that you walk past on the way
