Re: How is your veg growing?

We tried both. Bought some seed potatoes at the garden centre and also planted some from kitchen cupboard that had started shooting. It will be interesting to see the results.

Re: How is your veg growing?

Glad to hear the veggie plot is doing well Oliveview :) I planted cauli and cabbage early January and we are eating them already. I can't get over how fast they grow. Also got red lettuce doing well. Peas are growing but we lost some of them with the heavy rain just after we planted them and I think...

Re: I need a climber that isn't thirsty

We bouhgt a solandra last year. Has great big leathery leaves and huge gold flowers on it. I have never seen anything grow so fast! It covered the fence in no time. Unfortunately our one night of frost made it drop its leaves this year but it is shooting like mad again now. The other good and faithf...

Re: Liquid spilt on keyboard

Sorry Mowser I couldn't shoot the dog. :( My son has had the computer to bits and says it's a "no go". So I have bought a new one and am going to put one of the HD's from the old one in it for extra storage. Use the other one for backup with the sata HD docking station I have bought. The 4...

Re: Endesa's *beep*

Campobabe - the spanish neighbour must get the bills. We are having a meeting in the morning and I will find out more then. Hubby has just gone to take a reading so we can keep a record of it. Don't know how much pump is running as no idea when neighbours are using it. A friend nearby says there are...

Re: Liquid spilt on keyboard

Martin it is a very big ouch!
Now I have got to decide what to buy. We have always had HP machines but the comparable one they do now has not got bluetooth on it and I use that with my phone. Of course the model I had has been discontinued.

Re: Liquid spilt on keyboard

Costakid it is looking that way for me. Mine was about £1000. Hubby says he will buy me another one but spending all that money hurts. We are back in the UK on Sunday for 2 weeks so will have to fork out I suppose. I feel a bit vunerable with only his machine over here as he needs it for work and if...

Liquid spilt on keyboard

I am not having a good week. The dog jumped at me and knocked a small glass of whisky over my laptop keyboard. And before anybody says anything - I was not drunk!!  I have had it drying out for 2 days now and it still won't switch on. Lights come on and then go off again. Has anyone had t...

Re: Endesa's *beep*

The electricity to our pump for the well got cut off last week because the spanish neighbours failed to tell us that we hadn't got enough money in the account to pay the bill. They knew the bills were higher in October and just did nothing about it!! There are 4 fincas and us on the well and we are ...

Re: Killing Tree Stumps

we used the pool acid to get rid of a big pomegranate stump in our garden. Just drilled holes and poured it in. It must have worked as no shoots have ever appeared since.

I have never seen a bill. The Lawyer set up for it to be paid by bank when we first bought the place.
Have put in passport number instead of NIE and it seems to like this
They have given me an online number now. Will try and sort out what I do next ha ha

Re: Cost of seriously strong retaining walls

We had a reinforced concrete retaining wall built to support our land. 30 metres long and one and a half metres high a couple of years ago - cost 6000 euros. Dread to think what a 4 metre one is going to cost??? :( :(
