Re: Acox Internet

Its funny how different people have different experiences with Internet companies. We have been with conecta4 for probably about 5 years now and they have been wonderful with us. We are not in a good reception area and had a few problems at first. They came and changed the antenna for us but it was ...

Re: Planning for old age in Spain

Scampicat - I agree with you. Fine over here while we are healthy but I too worry about old age (I am 66). We sold our cottage in the UK and bought a flat in town and spent the other half of the money on the villa here. We spend quite a bit of time over here but still return to the UK regularly and ...

Re: salad all year round

Wagonropes, for us gardeners it is indeed wonderful living here! In the two years we have been over here enough to grow things I have just about got to grips with the flower garden and planted some fruit trees. My OH has now rotovated a vegetable plot for me amd my dilema is what to plant when. I bo...

Re: cleaning stainless steel

I usually find stewing fruit in it helps. Or soak for 24 hours in OxiClean. I am always doing this. One day I let eggs boil dry and hours later found them all splattered on my kitchen ceiling!!

You have got a bit longer to go yet! Usual season lasts 21 days but can be longer. You are at the critical time now so be careful. Soundas as if she is ovulating if dogs are breaking in. Good luck!

Re: Sky box switching to standby

This is part of the problem I reported earlier with my sky+ box 24 pages you can read about this on digitalspy forum. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/show ... p?t=934809. Re: Sky box switching to standby

Is anyone having trouble with sky+? Evertime we switch our box to standby, when we switch on again we can't get into the planner and recordings have failed. This has only been happening for a few days and reading the digitalspy forums it seems to be caused by a firmware update recently. We are now l...

Re: ACCEPTING BRITISH WILL IN SPAIN

Good friends of mine bought a property near us and moved over "permanently". Unfortunately he died of a massive heart attack just 5 weeks after moving in. They were still in the process of completing their Spanish wills as it was August and nobody does anything in August!! He had a very si...

Re: When on Heat?

From someone who has shown and bred Bullmastiffs for over 20 years, my advice, and that of my vet is to spay midway between seasons. Wait at least 2 months for everything to settle back to normal after the season and then do it. I am glad you waited for her to have one season as it does indeed stop ...

Re: Mobile phone SIM registration.

Yes it is all PAYG sims. Apart from those purchased recently when they would have registered it against your passport at the time. You have until October 2009 to do this. I have spoken to Movistar about this and you have to do it personally in a shop. They gave me a copy of the registration.

Re: Sky + Box

when I had the sky repair man out some time ago I asked him whether I could do this and I seem to remember him telling me you could connect to either input, it didn't matter which one. i haven't had the need to try it but it would certainly be worth unpacking the box and giving it a go.

Re: Bench top halogen oven (JML type)

I think the one on the market was the same size as mine, which is JML but it also had this metal ring which you put on the top of the glass bowl and then the lid on top of that so that you have more height. I have seen them smaller on the web, but I think these are the biggest you get. I haven't tri...

Re: Bench top halogen oven (JML type)

Kamila, the market is there on a Sunday morning. Not so may stalls on a Thursday, but a lot bigger on a Sunday. We cook most of our meals in this oven now and since I bought it we have not used the conventional oven at all.

Re: Bench top halogen oven (JML type)

Have been reading site for a while but this is my first post here. We brought one of these JML ovens back from UK on last visit. The best thing I ever bought. I hate using the conventional oven in the summer as the villa gets so hot. The meat cooks beautifully, much more flavour and less dry. Roast ...
