Re: Temporary broadband 3 months

Fylin - the provider my brother is with is Albox online. Have a look at their website. They cover a big area but might be a bit too far north for you.

Re: Temporary broadband 3 months

My brother does this and lives near Albox. They just have it for about 6 months of the year. I have e-mailed him to ask who he is with. Just have to wait for an answer!! They might cover your area with luck. Will let you know as soon as I hear from him.

Katy I think it varies. We used it a lot when we had an old cottage with old tiles on the floor and some were stronger than others.

Re: Television in hold baggage ?

I always have a fairly flat cushion in the bottom of my suitcase for protection as we usually take back some whisky and anis. Then I wrap anything breakable in bubble wrap with something equally soft on the top. Never had anything broken yet. I brought our new humax box back this way and also left i...

Is it easy to park anywhere near there. Don't mind paying the car park charges.

Re: Poorly Jumbo

I think epilepsy is becoming more common in dogs. We were just unlucky that both ours had other problems as well. If it is just epilepsy then I agree Gerry, you just learn to live with it. The fits can be frightening at first but you get used to them and I don't think the dog knows much about them. ...

Re: Poorly Jumbo

We have had a couple of epileptic dogs. First one was a bullmastiff who had a brain tumour. Second was recently here in Spain. Our 2yr old black pug had an eye ulcer and eventually lost the eye. Then started having fits and then lost the other eye. Obviously something radically wrong in the head so ...

Re: Metrosideros ?

You should be alright telboy as mine have survived a frost. As you say there are several varieties. One of mine usually flowers in December and is now in bud. The variagated ones seem to flower early spring.

Re: Metrosideros ?

Yes i have 5 of them. Easy to grow and very pretty when they flower in the winter. You should be able to contain their size by pruning quite easily. None of mine are massive. The biggest one is about 5ft and variagated.
I have had them about 4 years and mine certainly don't grow that fast.

Re: Can anyone recommend fast growing plants/ shrubs?

I planted a bird of paradise and it is still the same size 5 years later and has never flowered. One big fast growing shrub in my garden that does well is a durante. It has the most beautiful little mauve flowers on all summer followed by a mass of yellow hanging berries most of the winter. It seede...

Re: Can anyone recommend fast growing plants/ shrubs?

How about replacing them with washingtonia palms They grow very fast. We have grown some from seed and after 4 years they are taller than me.
Jacaranda trees grow quickly as well. Or are you looking for shrubs?

Re: Photo booths

We did ours in the UK last June and we didn't have to get the photos signed. I did have trouble with my glasses that are tinted. Walked round for a while in the shop so that they would look clear before going in photo booth. They still came out with a very faint blue tinge. The passport office rejec...

Re: Primark opening in Malaga?

If I didn't have hubby with me I would still be Ikea now. I can never find the way out!! I would have said I don't shop in Primark but went in there in Cardiff a couple of weeks ago and found a jumper with cats on it for £12 and as I was looking after a cattery in Devon for 10 days I bought it. It c...

Re: UK Mobile phone in Spain

If you get a vodafone signal at your spanish house Irene I would stick with vodafone. We use ours a lot over here. They are both on contract and "passport" and we only have to pay a 75p connection fee to phone UK on our allotted minutes. I can't find any better deal from UK phone providers.
