Re: Word Patch Package Missing

Pretty sure I have Service Pack 1 because when I click on the link it has links to upgrade to Service Pack 2 - Shall I try that now?

Thanks again for your patience

Re: Word Patch Package Missing

Changed the extension and saved it.

Started Word but it still doesn't work and is still bringing up the missing patch statement as in my first post.

I will try rebooting my laptop and report back.

I typed in normal.dot in the "search programs and files" box and it couldn't find it.

Am I searching in the right place?

Thanks

Re: Word Patch Package Missing

I did actually try and do a restore your computer to an earlier time a couple of weeks ago but it didn't bring Word back.

FYI Exel and Powerpoint are working fine, its just Word that won't open.

Thanks

Word Patch Package Missing

I am using Windows 7 on IE10. For some unknown reason I cannot get into Word. It asks if I want to open it in 'Safe Mode' and I agree. Then it comes up with the error message "This patch package could not be opened. Verify the patch package exists and that you can access it or contact the appli...

Re: Travel insurance starting in Spain

When we do our annual drive across to the UK via the ferry from Santander/Bilbao we use Citybond Suretravel . Web site: www.citybond.co.uk This company will also take on pre-existing conditions via their Healthcheck247 site. The annual policies are also more economic than paying for one off trips.

Technogas Andalucia

Anyone had any dealings with this company? A guy knocked on our door today said he had to inspect our gas installation and it was obgligatory. Not knowing any better we let him in but we are sure we have been scammed. Any information would be great. Thanks.

Re: UK/Spain Tax Form FD9

They've changed the name of this form (again). Its now called a Form Spain - Individual. I spoke to HMRC about this last week, and they confirmed that a Certificate of Fiscal Residency was fine. She said just to send it in with a letter, but I think its important to ensure you include all the infor...

Re: UK/Spain Tax Form FD9

Thanks for your replies. I have to admit I am a bit reluctant to let the forms out of my sight when all the tax office has to do is stamp them and give me my copy back.

UK/Spain Tax Form FD9

Have just sorted out payment of our tax in Spain for 2011 and now need to attend the local Hacienda to get them to stamp the forms FD9 so we can send them back to the Inland Revenue to take us out of the UK tax system. We have probably done this the wrong way around but at the end of the day needed ...
