Re: Nicola Sturgeon

Nicola Sturgeon is driven by one thing and one thing alone, her hatred of the English and she will drive on regardless of the cost to Scotland. It makes no sense at all that she wants to free Scotland from the UK but into the arms of the EU dictatorship, who have already said the Scotland would need...

Download speed

I'm curious, can someone explain please. If I'm getting a steady internet speed of 3Mbs indicated by a speed test and I download a programme of 350 Mb it should in theory take about two minutes to download I believe but usually takes about twenty minutes. Why does that happen, or have I got it total...

Re: A New Lap Top

I have rebooted my router which did nothing I´m afraid, but thanks Mark. I have just had a two hour session with HP help. They took remote control of the new lap top trying various things, none of which worked. They have suggested I contact my ISP and change the router channel to Channel 11 and chan...

Re: A New Lap Top

Thanks Enrique, brilliant, the process took about 10 seconds to get the full screen view on my TV. I have another problem, my new laptop does not receive the WIFI signal as well as the old one. This morning I tried watching a streaming programme from Filmon. On the old laptop it played no problem on...

A New Lap Top

You may have seen my other post about a new laptop in "Living in Andalucia" This post has nothing to do with that other than I´ve now got another new HP laptop and it all seems to be working well so far. I use the laptop to watch TV using an HDMI cable. With my old lap top the TV screen wa...

A New Lap Top

My old lap top has started playing up so I decided to get a new one. After looking around on the internet I purchased one from Amazon in the UK a Lenovo complete with Windows 10. The package took 2 days to get to Antequera and 3 more days to get to Villanueva de la Concepcion via UPS. The ususal thi...

Re: It's snowing!

I've got to say it, the only pussies on here are you lot complaining about 5 degrees. Up here in Villanueva de la Concepcion 820 Mtrs overnight it was minus 2 degrees, hasn't got above zero all day and we had a 4" blanket of snow all morning, nearly all gone now. They breed em tough up in the m...

Does anybody use Europa for the internet?

I have been having a lot of trouble with Excom for the internet and have looked at Europa who seem to have a good package.

However before I commit does anybody have experience of Europa, their package of 10Mb looks good but what service can I truthfully expect to get.

Re: Alternative to Excom

Hello Portugeezer Thanks for the info. I've added FVD as an add on to Firefox, started a video, clicked the FVD button but it states, no video available???????? Any ideas? I've also looked at Europa's internet offers this morning, it looks pretty good and cheaper than Excom. Does anybody use Europa ...

Re: Alternative to Excom

Hello again

I appreciate that in the evening more people are probably online, I believe most of my Spanish neigbours also use Excom, as a result I know the service will slow down. But paying for 5Mbs I expect to be able to watch the TV without any buffering.

Hello Sid Thanks for getting back to me. During the day I usually get bewtween 5.25 and 3.5Mbs but from 6.oo pm it drops down to 0.56, 0.95 1.25. Alternative to Excom

Hello I would appreciate some advice please. My ISP is Excom who specialise in campo internet. I use it in the evenings to watch UK TV via Filmon and since Filmon ceased to allow downloads I'm dependant on a good internet service to watch TV. When Filmon ceased to do downloads I upgraded Excom to 5M...

Architect for measuring land

Does anybody know of an architect in the Antequera area who can officially come and measure our land of about 25,000 metres? This is to correct an anomaly on our escritura. A price guide would be useful too. Thanks.

Re: What do the Spanish think about a Brexit?

Hello Mark, I haven´t crossed swords with you for ages. Yes the EU is stagnating with little or no growth and little prospect of any improvement in the foreseeable future. Unemployment throughout the southern countries has gotten much worse under the umbrella of the EU. It is so sad to see groups of...
