Bloody Football

I don´t know about everybody else but I am fed up to my back teeth with all the football on the TV. I prefer a man´s game, Rugby played by proper men who don´t roll around the pitch in agony every time their mascara gets smudged, a load of over paid nancy boys if you ask me. And never mind the disru...

Re: Should Britain pay other europeans ie: Spanish, the bene

This reply is directed to Mark Wilding specifically but I´m sure some others may be interested. Hello Mark it is a while since we sparred. I agree that the Euro did not cause the present financial problems, it was started by banks being "reponsible lenders" NOT. From that the seeds were so...

Re: Renta 2011

Hello Jerry I tried to download the Renta 2011 from a previous thread on here but with no success. It seemed I need a Java file before I could do it but never figured it out. This will be the first time for me to do this. Where did you go to download the file and any hints and tips would be greatly ...

Building Licence

In October 2009 I was caught by the Policia Local building a retaining wall behind my house. It was needed because every time it rained more and more soil and rocks fell down from the banking. After the visit by the police I went to Antequera town hall the very next day to apply for planning permiss...

Re: UK Government Pension

Hiya Spud Thank you for telling us about the UK Pensioners campaign. I went onto their site and what an informative site it is and what they are trying to do for UK pensioners and us Expat pensioners is wonderful. After us pensioners got shafted once again in yesterday's budget we all need a co-ordi...

Cave Houses

Does anybody live in a cave house or have experience of cave houses? What happens when it pours with rain for days on end as it can do from time to time in Spain, do you get leaks, damp patches or mould? People say that the temperature in cave houses is very stable all year round, is that true consi...

Re: Balustrade Painting

Hello Lyric First off, scrape and sand as much of the loose stuff off as you can. Then give it a scrub with bleach. Open up the cracks a bit with a knife, paint the cracks with primer, and then fill them with a product called Aquaplast Exterior, then smooth over the cracks with a bit more sanding. T...

Re: A New Bill about cars?????????

Hello, thanks for all your messages. In the end I went to the local Oficina de Recaudacion. It turns out this invoice was for an unpaid medical bill for primary care at the local medical centre from 2010 when my mother was here and had an accident. Her insurance company was supposed to have paid thi...

New Regulations about houses in the campo

A neighbour has told me that there are new regulations coming into force from the Junta de Andalucia, about houses in the campo regarding doing work on the house and selling your house. The neighbour didn´t know any specifics. Does anybody here know what this is all about please?

A New Bill about cars?????????

Out of the blue I've received a bill from the Oficina de Recaudacion. It is entitled REQUERIMIENTO DE PAGO PREVIO AL EMBARGO DE BIENES. At the bottom of the page it states. BIEN MUEBLE MATRICULA and then states the registration number. Everything on the car is legal, tax, insurance and ITV is and al...

A mixed bag of questions for the experts!

1) Has anybody else been experiencing their TV picture breaking up on most channels after about 7.00 pm for the past few weeks? 2) I think my sky free to air box has just given up the ghost. Aboput a dozen times I've unplugged it and left it for a while but it just says that no satellite signal is b...

Re: Minor works application -timespan

My house was built on a flat plot that was dug out of a hillside. Because of all the rain etc the banks that were left started to break up, so I started to build a substantial retaining wall out of rocks and concrete. (I live up a mountain so there are plenty of free rocks lying about). I had a visi...

Checking with the Junta de Andalucia

For various reasons my wife and I are thinking of moving to another part of Andalucia, but it is an area plagued by so called illegal properties. does anybody know if there is anyway to check with the Junta whether a property is totally legal or not? I know your lawyer should to do this, but can you...
