Spanish VAT Rates

Hi,

I read that the lower vat was increased from 7% to 8% and also a new lower rate was introduced of 4%

I think that the 4% rate applies to renovations to homes or extensions to existing properties
but does anyone know if it applies to new builds?

Thanks

Re: Electrical Fault

RCD nuisance tripping is a common problem and in the majority of cases the problem is with the installation or the appliance and not the RCD. You believe that the fault is narrowed down to one circuit. Do you mean one circuit breaker? Have you confirmed that there only one wire connected to the brea...

Renta Tax;

I have told that the Renta Tax debt does not get attached to the property
So if your caught it's 4 years plus penalties
Seems a good deal to me.

Re: Underfloor heating & wooden floors?

Hello Zofia, I have laid wooden floors over floor heating. I have a solid hard wood floor but instead of it being fixed to battens it is installed as a floating floor. I used a rubber matting with a very sticky top side. The wooden floor is stuck to this top side The floor is allowed to expand and c...

Re: Spanish house building

Hillybilly,
thanks for that.
Yes ,I looked around builders providers but got the impression that if isn't in the yard it's not available.
Always suprised with building standards in southern spain. They seem to build just for the summer and ignore the colder months.
