Re: 3 Year rule on selling/buying another property

Hi Sid, just to clarify, if we sold our house today and bought another using all of the money from this house, are we still due to pay C.G.T. even though we have bought another house in Spain? as our main residence?
regards,
Jake

Re: 3 Year rule on selling/buying another property

When did you first put it (which tax year) on your income tax declaration as your habitual residence? Sid Hi Sid, we moved here April 20th 2014. We are in the process of paying our taxes for 2014. So I guess it will be our May 2014 green card residencia date we will use and not the padronamiento of ...

3 Year rule on selling/buying another property

Just been to our gestor to pay taxes. Whilst there, we discussed the possibility of selling our house and buying another house. To avoid C.G.T. we need to wait to have 3 years residency and put the total value received for this house towards the purchase of the new house. We got our residency cards ...

Re: Changing from semi commercial to private

Thanks for the replies. I'll try the garage in velez again and we're seeing our gestor next week anyway. The Main dealer will be the cheaper option though.
I'll let you know how I get on.

Re: Malaga fc flat caps.

Hi Costakid. went into the shop at the stadium but they were none there. Maybe they were "home made" covers for a standard cap?

Malaga fc flat caps.

I went to my 1st Malaga footy match last night (we one 2-1) I bought a scarf And am now dropping hints for a Malaga shirt for Christmas! I noticed that a few men were wearing Flat caps in the Malaga colours (as opposed to the baseball cap type or the woolly hat type) Does anyone know where I could b...

Re: What forms to take to register S1 form

Do you have a spanish bank account set up jake. our gestor told us to avoid having to get translations of pension income etc we should just put 5+k euro into our spanish bank account and get a cetificate from the bank showing it. Re: What forms to take to register S1 form

Well we're just back from a 10 day "organising things" holiday including obtaining residencia and registering our S1 form. Well we fell at the first hurdle!! Not so bad though because now we know what to do when we come out in April. The comisaria requested proof of income as some of you s...

Re: What forms to take to register S1 form

how else can I prove our income? Don't you have a letter from your employer stating how much your pension is or will be? Yes I get an annual statement advising of my rise for the coming year but sod's law kicked in and it hasn't arrived in time for the cita previa. I'll just have to "wing it&q...

Re: What forms to take to register S1 form

We registered as residents before going to the INSS office to register our S1 forms. The main stumbling block for us was proof of income. Are you OK as regards proving you can support yourselves financially, Jake? As for the forms and documents, just take everything you can think of with a couple o...

Re: What forms to take to register S1 form

Thanks gina59. Can I just clarify? We have the S1 forms, passports, NIE certificates and padron certificates. Is that all the forms we need to take? The puzzle for me is that i read about a reference to the "residence certificate" which we don't have yet. Are these required to register the...

What forms to take to register S1 form

We have an appointment next week to register our S1 forms. We have N.I.E. certificates which were issued in 2004. We are empadronado and have the certificates. We have taken several copies of each! Re: Has anyone actually lost their TV signal yet?

Let's hope you will be so fluent in Spanish that you will appreciate quite how poor Spanish TV really is. In the meantime maybe you should be less judgmental over how people choose to spend their time. If they want to watch UK television then so be it. End of! I appreciate just how poor English tel...

Oh dear, did you feel better after posting such a pompous rant? If some of us want to watch Channels you clearly feel to be inferior so what? I love it when "part time" residents with a foot in both countries deem it necessary to lecture us. Great insight on my whereabouts masterob...

Re: Has anyone actually lost their TV signal yet?

You could of course get a life. Missing Disney channels and the like? Sad! If T.V is such an important part of your life, move back to the U.K OR Learn the local language and watch Spanish T.V.instead. Seemples
