Re: RENFE website

Could be a glitch in their web site. We booked back in June for our holiday in sept. with no problems I think you have to pay by visa not a current account card. Also tick the "offertas" button on the top r.h. corner and sellect the "web price" against which train you want to get...

Re: Fuel Policy - Car Rental

Just come back from our hols. booked car throuigh carjet and were allocated Solmar as the car supplier. They allow full/full on a max of 4 day hire and full/empty on 5 days or more. the car was only 100 euros for 10 days so overall still a cheap hire. we returned the car with a 1/4 of a tank of fuel...

During our year long wait, we got to your stage Zofia and were told " at the next meeting",
and when I asked when that would be, we were told "the next time they meet"

Re: College of Architects?

It did, however, pass through the hands and various in-boxes of the dreaded Junta for endorsement which is where, I am reliably informed, the delay took place. Isn't Spanish beaurocracy wonderful? However when the plans [b]eventually[b]get passed, it is such a wonderful experience that one hurdle h...

Re: College of Architects?

Zofia, not the answer you want but the process for our reform took one year to be passed. The architects wer reasonably quick but the college of architects at Malaga and our local ayuntamiento kept passing the plans back and forth . I think both bodies were afraid to commit and say yes to the plans ...

CAR HIRE COLLECTION MALAGA AIRPORT

We haven't used malaga airport for over a year and would like to know where the car hire collection point is. Is it down the ramp when heading for the exit or do we still have to go outside where the hire cars are parked?

Re: Crunch..Crunch..Crunch..Crunch..Crunch..Crunch

I'm probably being cynical, but I can't help the feeling that this situation has been engineered by governments the world over. How often have we heard that house prices(uk) have to re-align themselves? A recession comes around every 10 to 15 years and ussually lasts 1 year to 18 months. Then the me...

lawyer v gestor

We are about to have our escritura updated following the completion of our refomed house. All paperwork is in order  but would like to know if it is better to use our original lawyer we used to buy the house or can a gestor do this work? I am assuming that the gestor fees would be less than t...

Re: Lernin The Lingo.

Well put Lavanda. We live in a village of 700 people who have no English language skills. Not to communicate in some sort of fashion would be antisocial (imho). Like you, the villagers would walk by and comment on our reform. Bit by bit we would understand what they were saying. Having done the nigh...

I only use it on holiday and still make a complete ar5se of myself at times. The locals really do appreciate even a basic converrsation. As fearful fred say...

Re: Buying a used touring caravan

Another thing is that a caravan built for the uk market will have the door on the nearside, allowing safe exit when parked in a lay-by for example. The door would open onto the road in Spain.
A bit obvious but I thought worth mentioniong.
