Re: Removal of furniture from fourth floor apartment

I have seen all sorts of large items being put into flats in Loja by a mobile lift. Clever bit of kit presumably owned by the local dept store or rented for the occasion. they look like a giant fire ladder and the platform moves up the frame. Might be worth asking at the local dept store. Here you ...

Spanish Tax on property at Death ?

My sibling bought a property over twenty years ago and for "avoidance" reasons put it into a trust in my parents name to be held for him. One of my parents passed away eight years ago and the sibling paid tax to transfer the property in the sole name of the surviving parent. Can anyone giv...

Finding a Spanish Will ?

My mom died recently & one of my siblings is being difficult about her "non Spanish estate". She made a Spanish will a few years ago to cover an apartment that was belonging to the said sibling  but when he bought it he placed it in a trust to be held for him when she died. Am I...

Anyone in Competa ?

My best mate is on a trail bike course there at the moment. He's been sending me pics showing the good weather while we freeze here in Ireland. Do me a favour, if you see any bikers having lunch in the town then ask for Brian and tell him Luke says hello. That will spook him :D :D :D

Re: Spain-based British professional scammers, stay alert

Spain seems to have a few of these "Sales bases". If you are on any of the Facebook groups advertising jobs on the CDS there is a constant stream of "Marbella based" companies looking for telesales people with sales experience. Out of boredom I've messaged a few and found them to...

Re: AP7

Coming from Airport, take the exit for A7 not AP7. Thats the old road and it tracks the coast. Yes it's busier but moving at 80 Km's most of the way unless it's blocked by an accident it really isn't a lot slower.

Re: Community pigeon problem

Maybe a report to the local constabulary that "foreign looking" men have been seen coming and going from the property ? They might use the big red key to open the door and search the property.

Re: Malaga car hire.

It really comes down to paying peanuts and getting monkeys. Helle Hollis are not cheap, but their cars are all great. . . . they don't mess you around and if you have a problem during the rental they will sort it out. Yet we all (me included) rent from "others" and then complain when we pa...

Re: So I put my property on the market . . . . . .

Update . . . . . . During this thread my best friends son committed suicide. We couldn't focus on Spain and told the agent we would not sell at the time. He wasn't happy at all. I was in sales for thirty years and had experience of customers changing their mind, what it showed me was that he (estate...

With no deposit you can back out with out losing any money, once you accept there deposit you have to return the deposit plus the same. If they back out after leaving the deposit you keep there money. One thing I will say if you back out you may regret that decision if you decide to sell in a few m...
