Re: Channel 4 A New Life in the Sun
Well done with the earlier series. It was well put together and the people taking part were interesting. Although some of the "older members" here knocked it I enjoyed it, particularly the chef from the Blue Marlin. He must be the only "real chef" on the CDS.

Re: Cadiz / Puerto de Santa Maria
I stayed in Cadiz two years ago. We stayed in Hostal Colon http://www.hostalcolon.es/en/ which was clean . . basic & friendly. Cant comment on parking prices as we were on motorbikes. The guy I was with owns several restaurants and a Spanish wine producer had told us that we had to go to El Faro...

Re: A meal in Puerto Banus
That rings a bell alright. On the food front , you use the cocktail sticks to pay for food in Lekune. In Estepona you must go to La Esquina de Arte http://www.esquinadelarte-estepona.com/ It's got great atmosphere and great food.

Re: A meal in Puerto Banus
Richard, forget PB, the food is only average there now. Unless you want to people watch ? That would be my main reason to go there now. A place thats definately worth a visit is "Lekune" a tapas place in Marbella. The place is always busy. They bring the "freshly cooked" tapas to...

Weather wise May and June are really warm and pleasant or September and October . Both periods are also quieter.

Caminito del Rey tickets (again)
Every day is booked out for next few days. Has anyone here just turned up on spec and asked the booth or retail outlets for tickets ? I seem to remember a good percent of tickets were given to other outlets to draw business in. Any thoughts ?

Re: Bogus Gas Appliance Inspectors!!
My point about changing pipes is - I agree you and I can but how many actually do? How many folk out there have pipes in use with an expired use by date? They do degrade. Olive is correct. When my sister sold her place she gave me her expensive and rarely used gas barbecue. After the second time us...

Re: On a Scale of 1 to 10 how high would you rate living in Andalucia??
I lived in Spain in the 90's. Came back to Ireland to work & educate my kids. My friend stayed on and his kids went to school in Spain. He feels the Spanish educational system is not up to speed. And then if you intend to work be aware that incomes are much lower than you are used to and permane...

Similar story. I warned my sister to leave "nothing" on view in the car and if placing anything in the boot then do it at a previous location . She drove to the promenade in San Pedro de Alcantara and changed her shoes for a pair of walking shoes. She placed the shoes in the boot and went ...

Re: Car parking at Malaga Airport
Try Zenith on the opposite side of the road to the airport. The lady the runs it is Irene, her mobile is 619041137. They will collect & drop you off at the arrivals. I've used them to store my motorbikes. Text or whatsapp her for price. She is good on long term prices, I didn't use her for short...
