Re: Linea Directa

Sid said 'ALWAYS read the policy - at least with LD it is in English so there should be no excuses!'

LD has motor insurance policies in English but home insurance are only in Spanish.
We did read the policy (in Spanish) but there was no mention of personal possessions being excluded.

Re: Linea Directa

My home contents insurance in the UK covered personal possessions taken from inside the home & out as standard, as does Intersure here in Spain. When I took out the insurance with DL no mention of 'extras' was made. I'm still trawling through other companies.

Put it down to experience I suppose.

Linea Directa

A few words of warning for anyone who has a home insurance policy with Linea Directa. My son had his rucksack stolen yesterday while out. I rang LD this morning and was amazed to learn that we can't claim as the personal possessions were taken from outside the house!! There's no mention of this bein...

Re: claiming the dole

Have you tried the 'INEM' site? Or there may be a website address on last year's papers.

very slow computer

We have a Windows XP laptop and it's extremely slow. It takes an age to open anything even after defrag & disc clean. The internet's as bad .................. always 'waiting' or 'not responding'. We're trying internet explorer at the moment but have also used firefox & google chrome. Any id...

Re: working from home

Spanish_lad, how did you get into it?

I've joined 'Freelancer' & 'elance' but no luck yet. The 'data input' sites look a bit dodgy!

Re: working from home

Thanks for info.

Yes I am based in Andalucia but it doesn't matter where in the world the companies are.
Does your friend work for a Spanish company. Jool?

Sounds like care is needed when selecting companies to work for ................ don't want to end up like Katy's friend!

working from home

I’m looking to work from home ...... data input or similar.
I’ve heard that there are dodgy companies out there. Has anyone actually done this type of work & could recommend any legit companies?
Any advice appreciated.
