We've used Firefly (previously Advantage) on several occasions & have always been supplied with nearly new cars in excellent condition.

Re: registering as autonomo

Well I managed to do it myself! It took just over an hour & that included the inevitable trip to get photocopies (although the man in the seguridad social did ask if I needed a copy of the form from Hacienda!) & the trek between offices. Both people who dealt with me were brilliant.............

Re: registering as autonomo

Thank you markwilding.

So I literally go in & ask to register as autonomo?
A Gestor has said they could do it for me but want 40 euros per month for the privilege. As I'm just starting out as a self employed teacher paying the autonomo itself will be enough!

My parents used Spantel for international calls for several years with no problems. In June the company was taken over by Minute Media 21 S.L Telecom & then their problems began! They've decided enough is enough..................... can anyone recommend an alternative? Also who do people use for...

Re: Contacting SEUR

I had real problems with SEUR being unable to find our address. Now anything I order is delivered to our local SEUR office. The woman there rings me once my parcel has arrived & I collect it!

Re: So hot!

It did actually rain for about 20 minutes around 7pm but only very light - hardly enough to show on the terrace but you could see some splashes in the pool. No storms though. heavier a bit further east................... very large spots on terrace. Very much like 'thundery' rain but without the th...

Re: UK mobile contract

How did he get on opening a bank account? - That can be difficult, too! certainly was White Horse................ not as easy as we thought! He's had a savings account in the UK since he was born (moved to Spain when he was 10) so we went to that bank to ask about a student account....................

UK mobile contract

My son's at Uni in the UK & is trying to get a mobile on contract. He went to several places only to be told that as he's lived out of the UK he will have to pay £150 deposit!!
Has anyone else had this problem & if so is there any way round it?

Re: Amazon.co.uk stopping free delivery..........

95% of the books on the UK site are on the Spanish site but the prices may be different.

Books on amazon.es are much more expensive than on amazon.co.uk although p&p is free if you spend over 19euros.
I think I'll be looking at thebookdepository.co.uk with free p&p to Spain!
