Kenny, why would I put a second hand engine in a car that's less than a year old? Might be how you do things up north but I prefer to know the provenance of my engines as I did many moons ago when I was dealing with Oselli buying BDA/Gs for my Escorts which I think you'll find are race engines - the...

I thought this was going to be a more interesting thread about Kenny's cross dressing habits with some sartorial advice as to what goes best with slingbacks.

They're non-return valves. Stops the water running backwards from your house to the mains.

Faire d'incomes right about some engines being 15k........although he's never had one ......not in his Micra anyway  He is right also about varying fuel quality...........I know that for a fact. The engine in my last Caterham cost more than 15k and it was only a 4 cylinder rover K seri...

I worked for the last 20 years on a UK refinery, and I would imagine the situation in Spain would be no different... Must have been some time ago that you worked in the petrochemical industry then Frank, given the recent problems caused by Tesco and Morrisons in the UK earlier this year. They were ...

Our experience with vets (in contrast to members of certain other Spanish professions) has been nothing but good and I cannot praise them highly enough. Unfortunately, I've experienced the opposite from shockingly inept to the exceptionally good although the lovely Carla was very easy on the eye so...

Why don't you just buy it online? Its far cheaper and as for the side effects I would have thought your vet would have advised but as far as I'm aware its an antibiotic.

Good. If you ever get stuck for parts, although you shouldn't have a problem as there are plenty of those Spanish rip offs, look online for companies such as Craddock, Famous Four and Paddock spares as they are generally very cheap and will post to Spain. Having said that, they're as reliable as any...

I paid €120 for 4000 litres of spring water which was of sufficient quality to use for the depositos this year, but I also paid €80 for some brown water that I could only use for the pool which turned out to be a waste of money as I had to use so much floculant that most of it was backwashed away. B...

In which case I'd recommend you rotate your tyres every 3000 miles or so as for some reason the fronts wear out quicker on the non-permanent 4WD models. Incidently, your model isn't actually that lightweight but it is narrower than the standard model of the day as it was designed to fit within aircr...

Kenny - take the fuse for the ABS out. I always do when it snows. We're also likely to get some more snow in Axarquia this year too.

They'll be road legal but you need to bare in mind that due to the tread block's size you won't have as much grip, particularly in the wet, as you'd have with a road biased tyre but they're not dangerously deficient in the grip department - just a bit wobbly. Chances are you won't be going fast enou...

They need more information although the general consesus was that you've wasted your money buying one and they wished you'd been around when they wanted to sell theirs - difficult to shift by all accounts being scrap seppo wagons. Seriously, I take it you've bled the brakes/checked the diffs/propsha...

You either want an All Terrain (AT) tyre or a Mud Terrain (MT) for off road purposes. The AT tyres are a bit of a compromise in that they work reasonably well off road but much better on road - say 30/70, whereas MTs are a much more aggressive tread pattern and work better off road than on - say 70/...

Oi daft'un. I've posted your question on Mudclub in the section for owners who can't afford decent off roaders - Jeep summat or other forum.

No doubt someone will give me an answer if they get back this week from wherever they got bogged down.

Is it diesel? You'd be better off posting this on Mudclub for the right answer rather than on here.
