Who do M & S use for posting to Spain?

Postby oliveview01 » Sat Mar 31, 2012 6:16 pm

I have just placed my first M & S order, I was surprised at how little the postage was (7.50 pounds) Who do they use as a carrier? I am sure there are M & S devotees here who can answer  I have all but given up trying to buy trousers for short legs here

Thanks Country Boy.... now another question.... can I add to the order? I am sure I read somewhere I could, before the order is sent, but how and where?

trying to buy trousers for short legs
I'm not sure, isn't this the Haute couture for the average Spaniard?

I was hunting the shops in Sevilla last week, I only found a dark brown and a white pair of trousers.... jean type. I want smart casual trousers for short legs, as mine seem to stop half way and not go right up to my armpits

There are loads of short ladies about, do they all cut loads of inches off the bottom of their trousers?

What happens if you order something and it doesn't fit or you don't like it? It's the thought of having to return things that puts me off ordering clothes online, I wait until I go back to the UK to stock up in the sales! The cost of sending parcels from Spain to the UK always seems expensive, do you have to pay the cost of returning items yourself?

I sent for some pairs of tracksuit bottoms to wear for the gym a few weeks ago - they fit fine, I just hate the fabric now I've seen them. I reckon I will have to wear them for painting in or something - just as well they were really, really cheap so it doesn't warrant trying to send them back. Not from M&S though, from Sports Direct - they do have stuff available at amazingly low prices if anyone needs sports gear.

That is the problem with buying online, you take a chance. I did look at the reviews first, one part of trousers had reviews of coming up very small and being a bad fit, so I avoided them, shame as they looked good.

Not everyone gets back to the uk as often as they would like for shopping sprees.I have had to resort to online purchasing for clothes nothing fits me properly over here and i also find they dont have a middle market for clothes they are either poor quality or grossly overpriced, plus they dont have the sizes i need.I suspect you will have to foot the postage if you return the items, however its probably worth it if you can get the items you need.Good Luck

Does anyone know if Next International also use Correos?
I have not ordered from any of the UK companies as I was unsure what delivery service they used. I assume they will require a signature at the post office the same as a courier would, so I suppose it must be secure.

My M&S orders arrive promptly, often in 5 days from clicking order on website, problem free and have been via Correos or via courier....depending on their size, cost is the same....so long as you read the reviews and take a broad cross section of them then I find I never have a problem with things not fitting and its a lot nicer than going shopping for clothes which I hate.

My top is out of stock ... I need a crying face.... I really wanted the top, it was a pretty one. I wish they had emailed to say it was out of stock and was there anything else I wanted instead  I am sure there wre more I could have chosen from. I guess my parcel will arrive next week now due to Semana Santa.

7 days..........sometimes. I've had parcels sent to Spain by normal mail i.e. Correos and while some have taken 7 days, some have taken 30+ days and some not arived at all. Can't say whether the holdup has been Royal Mail or Correos though.
I've got an inferiority complex, but it's not a very good one!

Unfortunately Next will not post to a po box and then use DHL for delivery, which in my area is a total disaster.
