Re: On the TV at last
What's the bet it will be fronted by Farage cos they don't have anyone else!
Re: On the TV at last
Perhaps there is only Farage who is experienced at public speaking but there are certainly a lot of members. You cannot compare an up and coming newbie party with the slick PR of the 3 main parties. The only reason they rarely put their foot in it is because they have a PR army, voice trainers etc and constant messages telling them what to say....all funded by donations of millions of pounds! Very slick machines but they are still incompetent!

Nigel Farage is a good speaker, but there are a few others, not so charismatic, but equally good!
Anyway, UKIP is not full of professional career politicians, like all the other!
*I'm standing for UKIP in the upcoming County Council elections!* (Won't win in our area, but it's a start!)

Yes - exactly. That is why our membership is growing by leaps and bounds while LibLabCon's is declining!markwilding wrote:Thank god most of Britain see it for what it is,Julie wrote:I think UKIP are a breath of fresh air

Mark, why are you so against UKIP ? And why do you think it is good for Britain to stay in Europe ?

Don't worry,I have less disdain for UKIP than for The Tories but that might be because I don't see them as a threat.Julie wrote:Mark, why are you so against UKIP ? And why do you think it is good for Britain to stay in Europe ?
As far as the EU is concerned, well, that's down to looking at life with a completely different ideology. The reason I give my opinion on here is to give some balance to the argument.
In a different situation, such as down the pub, when I meet someone like JWhite, I don't even bother arguing with them. I just sit their listening to the rants and sort of nodding my head. They could even go away thinking I had agreed with everything that had been said.

Re: On the TV at last
Thank you for the post Pigs,
To me there's very little different to the main party manifesto.
I actually can't see how many of them can be impletmented, while The UK is still in the EU. I would at least expect a party to follow the rule of law in the short term.
And to say that they are different to other parties. What about this for a soundbite from Farage!
True, but means nothing because they lost to other parties.

This has been a remarkable year for
UKIP. We have beaten the government
in three Westminster by-elections

Re: On the TV at last
I've just seen the P.E.B. on-line, as a preview for members.
Nigel Farage has equal airtime with a whole cross-section of ordinary people from all walks of life.
"My Britain" is the theme and what these ordinary, common-sense, folk want for their country and its future.

Britain's longest-running polling series shows the Conservatives have clawed back just one point from last month to stand at 32%. That leaves them six points adrift of Labour, which slips back one to 38%. The Liberal Democrats stand still at 15%, while Ukip bounces up two to 9%.
