I know this topic has being discussed in the past but i have a slightly different angle.
When opening a new non resident account in Spain.
Do we have to declare all of our income from our home Country?
The reason i ask is i was thinking of setting up an account and if i just need to declare where the money going into this account every month it likely be easier.
Many thanks.
banks again
Re: banks again
Wollie,
I would suggest always only giving basic information about your income and only giving details on a need to know basis..if pressed.

Gordon

Re: banks again
I don't need to practice being stupid i am naturally gifted in this area.
I read here i think that we need to show our primary income from out home country.
I think also tax details from home country.
I am really hoping to get a bit of clarity.
Thanks.

Re: banks again
Thanks for replies i will look into it some more. I was under the impression that i had to supply all my personal income and really too much bother.
I be over in a couple of weeks and look into this.
I remember being told a few years ago that if i had regular payments into account and also a few debits i get free banking. I am hoping this is still the case.
Many thanks.

Re: banks again
That may only be for residents accounts. Sabadell do one where you have to have a minimum monthly income of 700€ but I seem to remember having to produce our residencias when we set it up.wollie wrote: I remember being told a few years ago that if i had regular payments into account and also a few debits i get free banking. Cajamar have gradually been adding conditions to getting free banking. To keep it charge-free we (a) joined as members (b) took out our house insurance through them (c) took out a credit card from them. We still have to ensure we used both our tarjetas for purchases (not cash withdrawls) 48+ times per year to avoid 15€ a quarter charges.

Re: banks again
This is related as i read an article at the weekend that banks supply information on account holders to revenue which i kinda already knew.
What i did not know is governments share this information with each other and it is pretty well a world wide trend.
