Some relevant info if you are fortunate enought to have a decent win on Euromillions:
If you win more than 5k Euros you have to claim your win at an authorised SELAE office(Sociedad Estatal Loterías y Apuestas del Estado) where your ticket will be verified and they will complete the relevant paperwork etc. Wins over €2.5k are taxed at 20% in Spain (deducted at source)
Or alternatively for bigger wins you can take your winning ticket to your bank, they will copy it and sign and stamp it as a receipt, and keep the original. They will contact the relevant lottery office for you, and when the winnings are confirmed, monies will be paid into your bank account. I did this recently and it was very quick.
Also note that unlike the U.K where it is six months in Spain its only three months that you can claim your win. Buena Suerte for this weekends big one. (I’m hoping lightning will strike twice)

Re: Euromillions in Spain
Thanks for the info, I'll now what to do when I have a win but perhaps I need to buy a ticket first.
So, you've had a big win.
Where and when is the party that we are all invited to?
Hope you enjoy your win.
Cheers
Gerry

Man wins £millions on the lottery. His wife says " What shall we do about the begging letters dear?"
" Keep sending them" he says.
" Keep sending them" he says.
