Door Chain Fly Screens
Door Chain Fly Screens
Hi,
Does anyone know where I can purchase a door hanging chain fly screen/curtain ?
I thought of Bauhaus, but can't find it on their not very user-friendly web-site.

I haven't seen them on sale to take away, but in all the larger ferreterias they will have a range of door curtains (plastic strips, chain, etc) you can order, made to whatever size you want, so just take the measurements of your door with you.

I've bought the beaded ones myself from Chinese bazaar shops in the past, but I haven't seen any chain ones in them.

Hi,
Think you will be paying 60 -80 euro for a good one, they certainly work well.

Cristalerias (glass suppliers) also normally sell made to order door curtains, along with persianas and venetian blinds.

Definitely as Enrique says a ferreteria is your best bet and for price dependent on size but reckon on 80cm around 60 euros 100cm around 75 euros.

Go to Inma's in Benemargosa and it will be made to order.
Re: Door Chain Fly Screens
Mine was made by the ferrateria and it was expensive but they last for years. My fly curtain has the rubbery twisted strips and is very heavy (and can strangle you as you try to get through with your hands full) but they are very good. They come in a variety of colours too and you can say what combination of colours and how you want them to be (our previous house used to have one with 2 yellow and 2 clear strands repeated across the door for example).
