With many companies even though you need to drop off suitcases, Checkin and Passport details have to be done online.
You can’t just turn up at the airport and checkin at the checkin desk

And you can with BA but not with EasyJet or Ryanair.

Having done the passport details for flights within 48 hours, I was also able to give the passport details of later flights as well. Because it's possible to check in up to 2 months before the flight, you just go through the various stages filing in the passport details and finish with check in at a later date.

"why people keep flying with them" Quite simply because they are in most cases the only airline serving the places one needs to travel to and from!

because they are cheap. play the game and you won’t have a problem. try and sneak a bag on that’s not payed for and expect to pay through the nose. I always use Ryanair and have never had a problem. If you don’t like it use BA and pay €250 instead of €80 with Ryanair.

With the wholesale cancellation of flights being notified this morning you will be very lucky to get on a Ryanair flight.....it is a good job we came to the UK this time by car, as any flight back to Murcia International next month would have been cancelled, effectively leaving us stranded here with few options to return home!

I don't mind who I use as long as they offer the best price. It is worth checking all companies because the budget airlines are not always the cheapest.
I'm flying to London in December and BA was the most inexpensive for the dates I wanted.
