Not an expert, but simply adding a note for people to post pictures of it if they view it!

Chrissie,
Thank you for your kindness....
And we have been celebrating throughout the day and now just charging our batteries in readiness to go out and marvel at tonights spectacular sky and we will sit holding hands, sipping our wine and whispering sweet nothings in each others ears and remembering only the good times of our 52 years together....

We are mere beginners, only been married 51 years this September.
Have a good one Gordon and Mrs, enjoy the eclipse as it is a nice clear night.
Cheers

Just below the moon tonight there will be a red star, that is Mars which in coincidence is at it's closest approach and readily visible by the naked eye.

Spectacular, especially as the eclipse started to clear, leaving most of the moon red, with a white crescent to the left.
And all in 'slow motion', too, which makes a change.

First ...Olive..Thank you for allowing the hi-jack of your thread.
Also Thank You everyone for your kind comments, Much Appreciated...!!
And good to hear that other members are enjoying happy married lives in Spain and may it continue for many more years...
And back to the Lunar Eclipse, brilliant...and we really enjoyed our evening and it was good of the moon to arrange such a spectacle to help us celebrate our anniversary !!!!
On our way back home I could still see a red haze....but that was probably down to the extra glasses of vino tinto that I had consumed .
And may we wish everyone a Great Weekend.....wherever you are ....
Regards,
Gordon & Pauline...xx

We enjoyed a good sighting of that blood moon/eclipse/Mars and a stunning view of an unexpected shooting star!
