LEGALISED TRANSLATION OF WILL IN UK

Postby Bongtrees » Wed Sep 14, 2005 10:54 am

Does anyone know of a UK based company who can provide a legal translation in Spanish of a UK Will and then have it authorised with an apositle stamp.

TIA

I'm not sure how it works but I think your english will is unapplicable to Spanish property! If that's you're concern!

An English will is perfectly valid for property in Spain. There is no legal requirement to have a Spanish will.

That said, if you don't have a Spanish will it is a lot more complicated to sort out the deceased's affairs and that's when you get involved in translations and apostile stamps etc.

I always use DePinna for this kind of thing. They know exactly what to do to ensure that the resultant document is acceptable to the Spanish authourities.
