UK Will

Does anyone know if a DIY will kit which has been completed and witnessed whilst the person was not on UK is still valid or do all UK Wills have to be signed and witnessed on UK soil?

The person does not need a Spanish will as does not own Spanish property etc.. he has limited time left (days) and is not well enough to go back to UK and another friend has a simple DIY will kit from WH Smiths.

As far as I know, the only details of the witness that are required are his/her name and address and the date of signing. The location of the palce of signature is irrelevant.
