I'm going to the yUK for a few weeks.
Anyone need a vehicle taking there? Bringing back?

look out ! there's a..........ugh.
So, when are you going to grow up?Meanwhile........the grown ups carry on.
I don't know who would be the most stupid - someone who handed his car keys over to a complete stranger who he had just met on the internet, or you for driving a car through customs not knowing anything about the owner.
Is that advice helpful enough?
Your assumption Kevin (?) if that's who you really are, that you know everything, may be a little off base.
Assuming that I know nothing is really ignorant of you.
I think you get your kicks by antagonising people with flippant remarks ( "can't afford the flight" whatever) to fill your empty life.
I post my proper name, which you can check on.
You hide behind another and assume everyone else is as secretive and devious as you appear to be.
Obviously, MORON, neither party would enter into anything without due diligence.
Clagging up my genuine question with your senseless drivel is of no use to anyone. I can't imagine why the excellent Andalucia site lets you get away with it. And for so long! How many other visitors have you put off coming to this excellent site I wonder.

So mr paul day, posting with your real name?- you are definitely stupid! Or a liar. But this is the internet so anybody is allowed to post.
What makes you think anybody is going to entrust you to take their shiney new car all the way back to the UK, just to save you the £50 air fare, so you can sign on for your giro at the yUK job centre? Get a job, you sponger and pay your way like everyone else!

Doesn't mean anything rob, the y has been added as a joke, to make it seem like another word 'yukky'.
Its used by some expats as a way of denigrating their homeland which they now see as the most horrible place on the planet.
You might notice some on this forum, who think that they are superior to the rest of the UK residents now, because they are scratching a living in Spain, but sadly some are stranded with not enough money to buy a second hand Fiesta to drive back home in.

Come on kevin77...its the first time I have ever seen a y added...I think its funny and a joke..no more than that...
This might well have been your story and its a shame...but I don´t think its the norm...You might notice some on this forum, who think that they are superior to the rest of the UK residents now, because they are scratching a living in Spain, but sadly some are stranded with not enough money to buy a second hand Fiesta to drive back home in.
No muerdes la mano que te da de comer.
I agree Silver, its a joke, though not original as I have seen it used several times before on A.com.
If I ever was out of luck and wanting to get home from a foreign country, there is one thing that I would definitely not do and that is advertise on a website to drive a strangers car across a border!!!This might well have been your story and its a shame
Remember the song "Kevin is a Moron"?
Don't know what your problem with me is Kevin but a pattern has emerged where you insinuate something which you quote later as a fact etc etc.
So far you have accused me of being a sponger, claiming illegal dole, not having a job, not having the airfare and goodness knows what next.
Do I know you? When did you assume all this?
It's interesting that you add your age to your name. This may explain your lack of comprehension of even simple English and your befuddled thinking.
Or maybe you added an extra 7 by mistake!!! This would definitely explain your behaviour.
Anyway, I am bored by you now and won't bother to read what nonsense you post next. I off to meet a man about a car.

Good luck at Dover Paul, i'm sure customs clearance won't be a problem at all.

Thanks Kevin. I notice that the person who uses it failed to respond, I guess he was too preoccupied with your postings!!
I rather suspected that was the answer and, like you, I find it a bit sad and not particularly funny, but then I guess I have an adult sense of humour!
Why some people who choose to make a new life in Spain, feel the need to denigrate the UK puzzles me. Of course there are some things that are not so good there but so too are there are in Spain, that's life.

Yes, strange that people that made their living in UK, a living that has enabled them to enjoy a good lifestyle in Spain, choose to slag it off, rather than being grateful. Almost overnight, the UK has become a place to ridicule, and Spain has become Shangri-La. But it appears, reading this, nobody can seem to live without UK tv,papers, food etc.masterob wrote:

We have Spanish friends that come to UK, and they love it, he frequently says to me that they have so much to learn from los britanicos. Another Spanish guy that frequents a Spanish forum I use, has just come back from London, and he cannot speak highly enough about it, he absolutely loves it. Finest city in the world, according to him!

Grateful for what?
Well I can't argue with that.the UK has become a place to ridicule.
We have Spanish friends that come to UK, and they love it,
As do the Eastern Europeans, the Africans and any other race who come for the handouts and welfare state which buys votes for the incumbent Socialist Nanny State Government.
I love the u.k. and I love Spain, both for different reasons.
Spain: Lets me unwind, reflect and stress out.
U.k: Lets me catch and meet up with family and friends, make things
happen, replenish and replace.
You can live in this world but once, but if you live it right once is
enough.

Whether you believe you can, or whether you believe you can't, you are absolutely right.

So, in one fell swoop, all Eastern Europeans and Africans come for handouts ...! Really? Well I guess you could never be accused of prejudice or racism then!

There you go rob, you are responsible! Personally speaking I think that the UK is better off without saddos like spanishjoke, he is probably complaining the same about the Spanish govt, whilst cashing in his UK winter fuel allowance! It is the adherance to Political Correctness such as yours which has ruined the UK
