iTrip radio frequency

Postby sunkissed » Wed Jan 24, 2007 9:55 pm

Can anyone recommend a nice clear FM radio frequency in Spain for using the iTrip on the iPod in the car. Most the radio frequencies seem crammed.

tks

Doesn't work

You might find a usable frequency in one area, but as soon as you have driven for a while, you will be disturbed by some new radio station. The only decent solution is a cable connection from the ipod to the radio.

The iTrip radio frequency is only tunable within the FM commercial frequency band and any spare space that you find will be unique to your that particular area.

If you move a short distance you will prabaly find it swamped by another radio station. There are many local radio stations broadcasting with no licence whatsoever.

i bought one. then sold it. there was no decent gap anywhere on the scale where i could use it freely - unless i disconnected my ariel. and i didn't want to do that. i wonder if it would be possible to come up with some sort of "switch" for the ariel to turn it on and off at will... ?

Have a look at these websites. These companies have decent solutions depending on your type of radio:

http://www.connects2.com/c2home.aspx

I have used the iceLinkFM for a while and it works fine
