Re: Forum Upgrade
This may well be on the 'to do' list, but just in case - on the 'view active topics' page, I click on 'view first unread post' and that works OK. Once I've read the post I go back to the 'active ' page, and the post I've just read no longer says 'view first unread post' - still OK. Unfortunately, from then on it doesn't correct the 'view first unread post' by removing this link once read

Re: Forum Upgrade
As I can't yet edit - when I went back to 'active' page after posting the above, my post wasn't showing. I refreshed the page and then it as all up to date with all the posts I'd looked at no longer showing 'view' etc. Hope this helps

Re: Forum Upgrade
What am I doing wrong?! ... every time I try to log in (which I have had to do for ages since the 'keep me logged in' hasn't work for yonks) ... so every time, I have to type in that stupid code thingy ... I call it 'stupid' cos anyone with eyesight can see what it says and type it in ... so I fail to see what's so secure about that! ... but, as I say, I am irritated by having to type in that code each time ... and even when I say 'remember me' it doesn't! So ...?what am I doing wrong?!

Re: Forum Upgrade
What do the very feint "p"s in left hand green area really meant to achieve? Very odd #wrap code

Re: Forum Upgrade
I can't see the little 'p's but I had noticed that if you hover alongside a post & click, it takes you to the top of the page, so presumably, in the fullness of time, there will be a little arrow & the word'TOP' to enlighten us all

Hi gavilan,
You're not doing anything wrong.
If you logout and then log back in immediately it will ask the security Capture code.
A Bot/malicious code trying to access The Forum can't see that Code so will fail to login.

Seem to have lost the ability of replying to a previous post. I suppose that has the advantage of stopping people quoining a long post with a "I agree" reply.

Re: Forum Upgrade
when will all the upgrades be finished?
Re: Forum Upgrade
Apologies, we are unable to answer when it will be fixed with any certainty.
This did not go according to the plan.
Having reviewed the situation the developers are beginning work this afternoon.
They report
"There are a load of changes from the 3.0.x to 3.1.x templates
We are going to rejig your existing template based on Prosilver the default theme ( It'll basically be the same as your existing theme just the code / responsiveness and so on will be up to date )
Please hold on in case it is rough ride.

Re: Forum Upgrade
Are those horrible "online" graphics going to be a remaining? A simple "online" against name or message would suffice, but currently it looks like overkill and very off putting

Re: Forum Upgrade
I agree, the online graphics are awful.
Also the yellow type is fine on a green background, but on white or cream it is almost unreadable - that definitely needed changing. Apart from that it's looking OK with some improvements.
The report a post facility now works fine.
