Thanks those who reported the disc error problem.

At first we thought is was a return of last April problem with a '/tmp' (temporary) full file folder, however this was ok. Then we looked into changing a MySQL temp files directory. It was not this. There was something wrong with the storage.. it says still 42GB available but when we try to make folder it said no space left on device. In the end our developers found the problem, the inodes were full, it's like a number of file and folder. So we identified numerious small files to delete and release inodes. Having done this, the site started working again in seconds.
