VISITING ROME

Postby Jk » Thu Apr 26, 2012 12:35 pm

Can anyone please help.

I am visiting Rome next week for a few hours by train, could someone please tell me which railway station is the best to allow me to see some of the major sites within the city. I was looking at Roma Termini, not sure if this is the most convenient.

I have never visited Rome before, some guidance would be appreciated.

Many thanks,

John.

Roma Termini is pretty much central to the "modern part" of the city where the fancy shopping is on Via Veneto . You can walk from there to various sites, though if you are only there for a few hours it may be difficult. It's an incredibly busy City. If you just want to see as much of it as possible in a short timescale, take a tour on one of the HoHo buses.
