Never used this carrier before; has anyone any experience, good or bad ?

Thanks, Parilla

Not as good as Ryanair, but still good. I've flown with them about a dozen or so times; nearly a thousand with Ryanair so I suppose I'm a bit biased.

We haven't used them since we were on a flight back from Manchester to Malaga a few years ago and were thirsty so wanted to buy bottles of water on board. The cabin crew were doing a trolley service but only selling alcohol and mixers and insisted that this was company policy and we would not be able to buy water until they did the second round with sandwiches, etc. Therefore we could not get a drink until 1.5 hours into the flight. Normally we always take water with us (bought in an airport shop of course) but I think this time we must have been in a rush. Anyway the crew were rude and unhelpful about it.

Every airline has bad days.

We used to use them all the time, but now they are often not as competitively priced as they used to be, so I've been using Monarch quite a bit more.

I lived near Leeds and used to use them a lot as Leeds was a main hub for them, however they are now a holiday company and are not as reasonably priced as they used to be. also they used to leave on time, however if they have a coach running late with there holidaymakers on it, they hold the planes so they limit the compensation...Ryanair is the best value for what you get

Just back having using Jet2 and thought they were excellent. No boarding issues, comfortable seats, lovely staff and a good trolley service.

I have used them once but seem to remember the seats were a little "odd". Can't recall the specifics now, though.

The arm rests are only half length, stubby. But shorthaul it really doesn't matter.

and they're moulded plastic and don't recline - but as ajtg says, OK for short haul :D

They might seem to be moulded plastic but under that moulded exterior will be a strong metal structure. I cannot remember the number but a seat is required to withstand a few 'G' 6 or 8 something like that, and the number is even higher for coming out of the seat floor rails.

Not moulded plastic seats on my flight. Arm rests fine too. Don't believe any of the budget airlines have reclining seats anymore.

I stand (or should that be sit  ?) corrected - the back of the seat is definitely plastic, but as you say, will have a metal 'frame' underneath. The front of the seats are covered in 'leather' :D

That's more like the seat I was sitting in.
