Re: long term parking at malaga airport
There are several private companies near the airport. around 3.50 per day. Some with inside and others out door parking.

Re: long term parking at malaga airport
Taxi from you to the airport around 65€ each way, or about 37 days parking? Option is to cultivate a neighbour who will do it cost of petrol - any more and he would be uninsured, but make sure he is a good and sober driver.
Or cheapest of all: drive to the car park near the school as you enter Torre del Mar from Velez, park up and walk to the bus station and get the bus to Malaga then to airport. Bus fares about 5€ each, parking free.

Bear in mind, if using a public car park, that after 3 months in many modern cars your battery will be flat.

A car starter (battery booster) to leave in the boot is only about £30....

We disconnect our battery when we leave if we are away more than 3 weeks.

Re: long term parking at malaga airport
I would not dare disconnect a battery on a modern car...too big a risk of it losing radio codes, all the stuff in the computer memory.

Re: long term parking at malaga airport
Its all stored on modern cars. Most new stuff has built in radios so they do not need a code. Every other piece of info is stored in the ECU. What do think happens when a garage changes a battery? Your living in the past old boy.

Re: long term parking at malaga airport
Bus time tables don't work? There are several departures per hour from Torre del Mar to Malaga, air-conditioned and speedy, and about 4.50€ return last time we went! Once in Malaga there is the choice of train or bus to the airport.
It does of course cost you in time and effort to do it the cheapest way, but as with everything you get what you pay for. If your car is not an old banger I can understand reluctance to leave it, but do remember that car crime is still way lower in Spain than the UK or Ireland. If it is on UK plates then you almost deserve to get it towed or vandalised of course
We are doing a short UK trip soon and have opted for the AGP long-term park, on offer at the moment - think we are paying 25€ for 6 days with a free reservation. Not what you want, but fine for us.

Re: long term parking at malaga airport
There is, it seems, one Malaga airport parking company who offer cheap long-term parking, simply because they cannot handle the calendar.
If you leave your car there on, say, 20th of the month, and collect it three months later, on the 8th, they work out the charge as follows:
8 + 30 - 20 = 18 days
It's always +30, irrespective of the number of months involved!
Some friends of ours have been getting tiny bills from them for several years now.
You'd think there would be some "Red" faces. I'll say no more.

Re: long term parking at malaga airport
I have been using Parking Mar in San Julian for the past few years and have had no problems at all. Last year I left the car from nov to march and was charged 50 euro, and the car was cleaned as well. I am now back in uk and have left my car with them on a yearly contract of 500 euros. For me this is much cheaper than taxis back and forth.
My spelling is Wobbly. It's good spelling but it Wobbles, and the letters get in the wrong places.
Re: long term parking at malaga airport
So 4 stroke 5 months for 50 euros but 500 for 12 months??? Sounds strange.
