Another ploy by Michael O'Leary to manipulate you to do what he wants! He doesn't want you to take hold bags - he's said that many times. He therefore makes it awkward for you if you choose to. It's your choice.

I have used the airport 4 times in as many weeks. 2 hours is more than enough.

Forgive me if I am wrong as I don't often fly anywhere.
But aren't Ryanair desks almost permanently open with just one queue to multiple desks?
None of the desks are labelled, Liverpool, Rome or wherever. When you get to a free desk you just check in irrespective of the time of your flight departure.

That is good to know that there are no long queues to negotiate.

Thanks to Country boy too for the response.

Thanks stevemul, yes it is my choice. When I go on holiday I choose to take decent clean clothes with me, and things like toothpaste, shaving gear, etc etc, so I don't seem too much like the average british yobo when I am visitor to another country, with my trusty laser pen for pilot blinding when I get bored. That's why I don't take my stuff rammed into a Mercadona bag but prefer to take a suitcase, which I need to leave at check in before I can go through security. Same problem with other airlines, not just Ryanair.

Maybe if more of us complained a bit more we wouldn't have to suffer the c****y levels of service which seems to be the norm these days. You've still not answered my question Stevemul.

You can't! Just as you can't do lots of other things that Michael O'Leary says you CAN do. Like sit with a friend if you don't buy a seat etc etc. He's a Salesman, get used to it and get over it or don't use Ryanair - that's your choice!
