Overwintering in the Alpujarras in our touring caravan

Postby Jon Burns » Fri May 25, 2018 8:36 pm

I have posted about this over on the Living in Andalucia forum. Please forgive the duplication. We were in Lanjaron during the summer a while ago and we would like to spend some more time in the area coming down by car again but this time bringing our touring caravan. We are trying to see if we can find a method of contacting people who would not be adverse to letting us pitch on their property for a period during the winter months (naturally we are prepared to pay for the privilege). A newspaper or similar which would be read by expats or locals that carries small ads would be useful. When we were last there we did not see anything like that. Neither have we found as yet anything similar online. We have done this in the past in other countries and found the experience much more rewarding than simply staying on campsites. We need little in the way of facilities. We have solar for electricity but access to water and somewhere to dispose of the waste from our cassette toilet would be welcome.

Any info, suggestions or comments gratefully received.

Yes it is a duplication. You are unlikely to get any more/ different answers by duplicate postings.
