If ryanair have not let you know that it is cancelled, then it almost certainly is not.

I've tried the live chat, but I keep getting disconnected.

My grandchildren's flights for 26th July, UK to Malaga were recently cancelled by Ryanair- by an email message. I had a week's notice. The live chat lines were inundated and we could not connect, so opted for the payment to be given back, which is on a different system and we were able to get through.I doubt you will get through to them even now.
I agree with Peter above - if you haven't heard from them, you are OK.

Thanks all. Unfortunately I hadn't given my email address (thought I would get inundated with spam) so it's possible I've been cancelled but don't know about it. I'm thinking of driving to the airport after work and ask at the Ryanair desk.

You must have given them some kind of contact information if not how do they confirm fights at time of purchase and how do you get your boarding passes?

People complaining that they have been given only a few hours notice of cancellations due to Ryanair strike. They are also refusing to pay out compensation.

I dont think I have ever seen a positive feeing for Ryan Air. They treat their customers like s... in fact it is my impression(only from what I have read) that they dont have a customer service department. I have never used them, would never use them. Why, if people are so dissatisfied dont they let their feet do the talking?

Hola

Because "if you follow the rules" then it is cheap - often at "silly o'clock" or airports miles from where you want to be - but to some, the cheapness is important

Evelyn
I am very happy using Ryanair as they fly from Malaga to Liverpool at prices I can afford and at times convenient for myself.
Always had good friendly and polite service from them.
Cheers

My grand daughter flew yesterday to Malaga from the UK, left 15 minutes late because air traffic slot and landed 10 minutes early. About £100 for a flight right in the middle of the school hols. Easyjet and Jet2 were a lot more expensive. Ryanair, I love you. You get what you pay for, stick by there rules and you can't go wrong.

That was very cheap, Costa. I paid for my son and two grandsons back in January and it was 475 € return to BIRMINGHAM. I had incorrectly thought that it would be cheaper to book early. I have never had any problems with Ryanair before though, until this cabin staff strike.
I would like to be compensated though, for the extra 80£ Easy jet flight that I had to pay for to replace the original flight. They are refunding my original booking, but say they refuse to give EU compensation of 250€ - EU ruling.

Never had any issues with them use them 90% of the time because they are the cheapest and theres hardly any other options to my local airport.they have allowed myself and others to travel to many places at ridiculous prices (the old 50p flights) and visit places i would have never been able to visit before. Maybe thats why some people take issue? The media and their establishment owners dont like oleary so will always takes pott shots regardless of the validility of the shots.

You email them to request compensation. You give them a month. If they have not responded, you escalate the claim to CAA.

Good news . . . . . i have heard rumblings of Michael O Leary being pushed off the plank by corporate shareholders.

The price of a seat isn't really relevant when people have been on TV this weekend stuck in various places. Most making comments on here have not had their flights cancelled or delayed. On TV yesterday interviewed a few arriving on a flight from Malaga delayed for 20 hours. Another his flight was cancelled as they were on the way to Stanstead, villa booked and paid for! I thought the thread was about industrial action not low prices.

I read that O'Leary is increasing his fleet in Poland and removing up to 50% of his Irish base at Dublin...that'll teach 'em! :-))

no its about Ryanair and that includes flights and industrial action. I am saying you could fly with BA and pay much more money and still be delayed. BA have more industrial action than anyone so the flight price is relevant.
