Hello there.
I am on holiday for a week in Seville in the week of 15th April and had heard that there was trout fishing in the River Hueznar. We have booked a hotel for a couple of nights near Cazalla, partly for a change from Seville and partly to go fishing. When I checked with the hotel regarding trout fishing in the river nearby, I was told that there were no longer any trout there!
Various websites suggest that there are trout, but others suggest that the trout might have been fished out. Could anyone help with advice about trout fishing in River Hueznar or indeed in any river in the Seville region? We will be travelling by public transport, so accessibility is important. However we can change our accommodation, so can stay overnight or for a couple of nights in another location.
Many thanks for any help and advice.

You might want to check that you have the correct, Spanish permits !

Yes, I have my identity card for fishing in Andalucia and will have my licence. Now keen to use it!

Donald can in ask you your advise?
I want to do a bit of sea angling, i expect it be mostly spinning. I have being fishing from boats for years but this is fading away due to lack of interest from some of the regulars.
Anyway Donald, what would you advise me to buy? I have picked a shimano reel + rod + some braided line on Amazon.
Is this suitable? Also what do i need with regard to hooks swivels lours etc? if i was able to get the added bits it all in kit it be easier.
I think it unlikely good quality rods and reels be in kits.
I do not want to buy a ton of useless stuff but i want pretty good quality.
Many thanks...

Hi Wollie
I’m afraid I don’t really know anything about sea fishing other than chucking feathers off the pier for mackerel, so wouldn’t want to mislead you! Hopefully someone else will see the post and can offer advice.
Good luck
Donald
