Secure parking in Malaga

We are flying to Malaga next month and hiring a car from the airport. As we arrive around 9am and can't get into our accommodation until mid afternoon we fancied a look around Malaga for a few hours. Can anyone suggest a secure car park which is central as I am concerned about leaving all our luggage in the boot?

The underground car park next to El Cortes Ingles has plenty of security, it's bloody expensive though.

Leave your cases in left luggage at the airport, get a train or bus from the airport into the city and back, pick up your hire car at a later time.

Thanks for the advice on the airport. Will contact them to see if they offer this facility.

There are no left luggage offices anywhere anymore because of all the bombings .

I think that whilst there are no left luggage facilities at Malaga airport, there may be lockers at Malaga train station ? I know there are at Seville and Cordoba stations. Perhaps someone can confirm this ?

Your safest option is El corte ingles or one of the warden controlled carparks. I would try and make sure your luggage is not on display wherever you leave it.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I have just done a bit more research and found a company a stones throw away from the airport which provides secure parking so will pick up hire car leave it there a few hours and hop on a bus into Malaga.
