Taxis from Malaga - urgent

Postby Andy1 » Sun Jul 02, 2006 12:07 pm

My parents were due to come into Almeria with easyjet today but the flight is overbooked :x they have been redirected to Malaga, does anyone have any idea how much a taxi would cost to either Motril or Adra.

Malaga to Motril will be at least 100 euros.
Buses on Sunday are unreliable.
Best of luck in trying to get your parents to your home.
Cheers

No idea but won't easyjet have to pick up the tab or the difference anyway? Tell them to get a receipt, it's worth a try at least.

A one hour journey from Malaga in the other direction is about 100 euros if that is any help.

Thanks for the reply, yes I have told them to ask for compensation for a taxi the other end.

Adra is a 2 hour journey so mega bucks!!

Their holiday insurance company or easyjet should refund the difference. It may be an idea, to support their claim, to obtain something from your local taxi firm to say what they would have charged (as low as possible) to pick them up from Almeria airport.

Good luck and I hope they get to you without too much hassle.

Why not do a oneway car hire. Collect Malaga and drop off at Almeria.

We were in Valencia needing to get back to Alicante for a flight once and we did just that from one airport to another, about 200 km apart. It wasn't very expensive and we had the day to tour around and enjoy the drive as we had hours to kill.
