Visting Gibraltar on a Sunday

Postby daismarg » Sun Jul 30, 2006 1:32 pm

Has anyone been to Gibraltar recently on a Sunday as I am interested to know whether there are any shops open besides Morrisons and also are the main bars open for food and drink. Don't want to make a wasted journey! Thanks.

In my Rough Guide to Andalucia,it says virtually everything closes on Sunday. It also says that some resaurants and shops shut on Saturday, but the cheap booze and tourist attractions are open

:( A lot of the Businesses in Gibralter are run by Jews ...and of course Staurday is their holy day so they shut, and they shut on Sundays 'cause that's a Christian Holy Day...so basically Sats and Suns are not v.good in Gibraltar

Just the same as UK shopping hours, also observe UK Bank holidays etc. Sundays is strictly sight seeing only or window shopping!!!
