Postby mijas bound » Wed Nov 12, 2008 6:48 pm

When i was in Olvera, about 2 weeks ago i noticed a bright light in the night sky. There were no stars visible just 1 bright light.
any ideas??

would the space station be visible from there?

Could it have been the "evening star" aka the planet Venus? This is usually the first "star" out of an evening and is brighter than any others.

If it was essentially stationary in the sky it was NOT the ISS which is quite a fast movement over the earth, faster than high jet aircraft for instance.

In that case it might have been a street light you were seeing as you lay on your back on the way home from the pub. :D

in these days of equality,
It should be " maybe it's the fathership delivering pods containing more women in suits."
