Trying to register with endesa online

I am trying to register on endesa online and my spanish is not too good . Could somebody tell me what I put in line "contrato" at the top of the form.

It is now saying - El campo Número debe ser un identificador fiscal válido.
don't know what box this refers to????

what ID do you have on the bills?
if it´s your passport number put passport number in "type of document" and then the passport number in document number
if the number is your NIE then probably click on tarjeta de residencia then put the number in

that clear as mud ?sorry !

I have never seen a bill. The Lawyer set up for it to be paid by bank when we first bought the place.
Have put in passport number instead of NIE and it seems to like this
They have given me an online number now. Will try and sort out what I do next ha ha

Without your last bill you will not be able to register as this is part of the registration process. They will ask for the number of the last invoice as a security check.

Well I have had an e-mail from them and a number. this is what the e-mail says:-

looks like you are nearly there!they will send you a mail to confirm the access details, then you can use it,they couldn´t do it instantly probably for the reason Cid gave.success !!!

That sounds hopeful Julian. i just put the number in that was on my bank statement which is not the bill number!! Let's wait and see what happens. Miracles do take a little longer

it could be that the number on your statement is actually the bill number, let´s hope so, otherwise they may not accept the application !!

Now I do speak Spanish and on putting in my Nº de Contrato de Suministro it wont accept it. There doesnt seem to be another contract number on the bill . What about the meter number?

Would appreciate some help as even when I try to send a message through their "Ayuda" theres no way to send it!

Do you happen to have a rural property? If so you may have an industrial contract rather than a domestic one.

Are you selecting the correct distributor in the drop-down list? (Probably Sevillana)

Can someone help me out here?

I have not received a paper electric bill for 6 months. The psotman has obviously stopped bothering to put them in my letterbox.

Looking at my bank statements the direct debits have a reference number but it is not the bill number as it remains the same for each debit.

Does this mean I will never be able to go online for electricity? Or will I have to go to an endesa shop next time i'm out (armed with passport NIE ands Grandma's birth certificate, of course)? If the latter does anyone know where the endesa shop in Nerja is?

Yep Im selecting Sevillana and Im using Internet Explorer.

What really bugs me is there is no submit button on the Ayuda page to send a message for Help!

Obviously they dont want any messages

christine - did you ever get this sorted ?
I'm having the same problem - it won't accept my contract number. I do seem to have two numbers - one on the initial paperwork for set up charges, and a different one on the bills - it's this last one that it doesn't like, and I'm reluctant to use the other because that one isn't what the charges are being logged against !

I've given up for the moment, but I would like to get it sorted eventually, as it's so much easier to do things online when you're not in Spain full time

I would also be interested to hear if you got logged on. I am also having trouble with the site saying my contract number is wrong even though it is the contract number on the bill.

If you succeded, what did you use for contract number?

Endesa have lots of pop-ups on their site (Including for some unknown reason a blank page one)!
If you use Firefox make sure that this address:- www.gp.endesaonline.com is in your list of pop-up blocking exceptions, and also for good measure, www.endesaonline.es , too.
(Find in options|content|block pop-up windows - exceptions button.)
Or you can just uncheck the box "block pop-up windows" in the content tab mentioned above.
Now, I can log-on with Firefox, after doing that!
