The Spanish Government announced hikes in the duty on tobacco and fuel the day after the European elections. It seems that polititions around the world are just as cynical in the way they treat the electorate as in the UK.

I just love the self-righteous way that governments and big companies lie - the government put taxes up, fair enough, but then the tobacco companies decided that they would put prices up "in the interests of people's health"...!!

Apparently if you have an 8 metre x 1 metre plot, you can grow enough tobacco for 6 months. Anybody out there in the campo fancy helping old Mowser here to save a few euros?

I'll pay €2.50 for 50 gms.
