Are you doing anything for the Jubilee?
Re: Are you doing anything for the Jubilee?
There was an interesting program on wines the other day and it said that a lot of sparkling wines on the market now which are a lot better than the sparkling wine called "champagne"! The English sparkling wine came out tops
Torrox Costa "El mejor clima de Europa"
Re: Are you doing anything for the Jubilee?
Yes there are lots around, particularly in hampshire. Perhaps they have sussed out those EU grants
There is one about 5mins drive from my house, never knowingly tasted it though. They say that white and rosé work best in this country.

No, I'm neither a royalist or a republican. I am happy with the status quo in the UK.
Just don't expect me to stand up every time "God save the Queen" is played in the next few days.

Yes, awsome is the right word, seeing them come straight down the Mall and the roar less than at the trooping of the colours last year but nevertheless memorable.Devils Advocate wrote:I was thinking that too....and Brucey .Did I miss Status Quo on the concert

The whole day has been fantastic, outstanding was the good humour of the crowds, police and Stewards. Watching the Police escort the crowds down the Mall was amazing, people with strollers, shopping trollies, dogs. No pushing and shoving, we looked down from above and it was if they were all on one giant conveyor belt Wouldn't have missed it for anything, TV gives the close ups but to be there and get the atmosphere, priceless.

No chance! The UK Met office has issued orange alerts for an "unusual" summer storm - 70mph gales!.katy wrote: Hopefully get some decent weather now it's all over.
It's all down to the Daily Mail a week ago crowing about the fact that it was hotter in the UK than in Spain!

Re: Are you doing anything for the Jubilee?
They said it was hotter than anywhere in the med...they didn't say it was 10 days max Took the dog in the fields, he ran off home and left me. I know where the saying came from now "Not fit to turn a dog out" I think it was a Yorkshire saying
